Which comes first?

Thinking of our own and client sites where relevant, which would you plan out and complete first ...second third etc and why

Landing/lead generation page, thank you page, upsell page if applicable, opt in form, email template , auto-responder sequence content etc etc ?

I think the products come first, after that....
    1. I would construct the lead gen/landing page(s)
    2. I would build the thank you page(s)
    3. I don't believe in OTO's. I think one time offers are bulls***. I do believe in furthering the sale though. So, on my thank you page, I would include my higher priced product.
    4. Build the sales and thank you page for upsell product.
    5. Offer my core product/service on thank you page.
    6. Then, I would begin with the email sequence for lead gen to convert to upsell #1.
    7. Then, I would work on the email sequence to go from upsell #1 to core sale.

After doing my market research, and building up an "Ideal Client" profile, complete with their problems, needs and desires, I tend to write down a list of promises.

If I'm doing it for a client, then I'll ask them which of those promises they think they can realistically fulfil through their products/packages.

After that, I'll usually make any lead capture/sales pages, which essentially express the promises. The opt in forms are made at the same time as the lead capture pages.

After I've done all of the sales/lead capture pages, I'll start putting in the stuff that links the journey together. E.g. OTO pages/thank you pages.

The follow up sequence is usually the last thing I'll do. But that's due to the nature of my clients. Generally, they'll only have a monthly newsletter, and then different loyalty offers.
