vampire/snake company partners screwed up our deal... one partner wants to open IM company with me..

hey guys

long story short....
recent client starting paying me weekly, but under a lot of pressure to deliver really fast...

AFter about a month working with them, things are just coming together with their campaign, they decide we need to do performance based only! .... We agree to around $250 a sale based on the numbers being that we have 10 cities and should be able to get at least 1 sale from all that a day...

They agreed.

Problem is, they felt like I'm still an employee there and any IT or any issue really since I know a bit of stuff they would come to me. It started to get annoying, they are not paying me even $1 unless a sale goes through, yet they feel ok to ask me to do free work unrelated??

So that company is messed up I see now in hindsight. They are addicted to hiring people and only paying them when a sales goes through. So they have absolutely no loyalty, and everyone there is scum.

Eventually I stopped everything because their demands are so insane, and when the leads come in, they screw up like 60% of the time and don't even close so I don't even 'make' any money.... SCREW THEM.

I am so pissed I want to mention how bad they are around the internet as a company. They basically are like a slave labour company.

I started off sweet making money, doing work for them, they kept putting pressure since I'm actually getting paid, that they want work done faster, ROI FASTER! FASTERRRR!!!!

However doing work so fast, what would normally be done correctly in a month I would do in a week, there were some issues here and there, and now after switching to performance, with no 6 month minimum contract or patience on their part, they just basically left me to rot... About 45 SOLID leads basically closed already, but they literally ****ed up all of them almost and already in the last 2 weeks I got paid $100 1 time for 1 installation when there was like $3000+ (my commission) in sales supposed to be closed...

Basically I've learned if the business owners are snake like, just punch them in the face and walk out as you will never be happy or feel appreciated...

SO NOW........................

So now one of the partners believes strongly in what I'm doing and is upset the other partners lost interest so fast when after only 2 months, their ROI wasn't as high as they wanted, so he wants to open a marketing company with me...

but im hesitant because this guy doesn't know anything about internet marketing -- but he is the king of telemarketing and generating business like that.

He wants us to make the whole company performance based and expects me to work full time like him for free until the performance kicks in... Ahhh I have a family to support bro... "SO what I have bills too!! Do you want a salary or a piece of the company??"

**** man why are so many people ******* vampires these days?!?!

He said he has 3 clients for websites and marketing.. When inquire about them they are 3 of these friends, none of them have money but work in good lead gen industries...
Mortgages and Mechanic...

Uhhh so he wants me as a partner to not get paid now, only to get paid after the sales start coming in --- but I have bills to pay now, and if I put my attention to working with other companies to pay me now I could cover my bills, otherwise HOW THE HECK AM I GOING TO PUT FOOD ON THE TABLE?

He said he got a personal loan from someone to start the business, but that is just for 'business costs' not for us to use. He said to me, "do you want a salary or do you want a part of the company??". I feel because he was a partner at that vampire company that he is bringing that mentality in with him and I do not want that.

On the flipside I do know if he can get his act together we can do a lot of good business together...

Looking for some opinions to chime in

Never associate with people who make you crazy.

Never get into business with people you don't trust. Even if you do absolutely trust someone, you should always, always, always be very cautious about getting into business with anyone. This guy? No way.

Never go against your first instincts - if you do this you will regret it. This guy will screw you over.

You are only posting here for opinions because you already know you should walk away and you are hoping someone here will help you figure out how to make it work.

Do what you already know you should do. This will not put food on your table and will make things much, much worse.

Hmmm.... them are really vampires. See what i will suggest. At this point we can trust anyone. but at the same time there might be prospects. So, here is what you will do. Draft an agreement with him on partnering with him to run the company. in the agreement, how you intend to share profits/income should be clearly stated. Also, a section on how to split the company in case of winding up.

Now, give him your terms. by that i mean tell him that you have bills to pay and that while the company is growing, your input is gonna be on part-time basis to unable you have time to do other business and pay your bills. And since he knows no shit about internet marketing, you have an advantage even though he is bringing the loan to start up.

so in all, give him your terms, put it in writing, endorsed with a signature and in the presence of witnesses from both parties. If he doesn't agree with your terms, run away and don't look back. Period!

What this partner is suggesting is not at all over the top. he knows what he knows and you know what you know. that is the possible making for a decent partnership aka startup.

It kind of sounds like all the way around the real snake partner has stuck it to both of you. Think about this. he had to get a loan to start this new venture.

So instead of thinking this guy is a vampire... maybe you need to realize that he is complimenting you on your skills, and is a bit the opportunist and has created a situation that may work for both of you.

but again it comes down to Money. you need it now, and he is still working with the other partner, so he is good. so the answer to the whole thing is can you afford to enter into a partnership, or do you need to seek a more stable source of income.

Generally speaking millionaires are not made from doing Jobs. But you can become a millionaire in being a partner! ( if everything is on the up and up and your business is that good of course )
