Wordpress site help urgent please

On signing into my WP site , I get this come up when trying to get in via wp-admin

Fatal error: Call-time pass-by-reference has been removed in /home/michaelb/public_html/theplatinummarketinggroup.com/wp-content/plugins/semisecure-login-reimagined/classes/crypto-js/Cryptojs_MARC4.php on line 38

What does that mean and how can I sort it out to get into my account etc?

Is it possible my site has been tampered with or is it more likely an issue with a plug in ?

O yes keep the answer simple, im not tecchie, I can get into cpanel OK though

thanks

Ok thanks so how is that done (im not techy remember seriously not) I can get people to do it but if its a ten minute thing then I do it .

See there was a chance someone was hacking my site, long story not even going there but happily it doesn't seem that's the case .

If you think its a plug in log into server through ftp and delete any new plugins that you may suspect, if it clears the error up all good If you cannot fix send in a ticket with your host with the error message and let them troubleshoot, hope this helps!!

Actually this looks like a plugin issue - login to your Cpanel navigate to the file manager, go to your domain- go to Wp-content and rename your plugins folder to plugins.old (for instance) you will then be able to log back in to your wordpress site -you can then rename the plugins folder back to just 'plugins' and activate each plugin until you find which one is causing the issue-delete it. This takes a while-but solves it-OR just throw a ticket in to your hosting support.
