It's easy to make online ads vanish. Take email.... Click the trash can and it's gone.

Offline marketing... It's in your face whether you like it or not. Sure, you can toss it in the trash, but can you send a real bank bag through email? I didn't think so.

Offline marketing is good for business with online presence with a live office. But if you are plainly online business and your office is your home you should go with Online marketing. For me though it is best to work on both in order for the business to really grow especially for huge market target.

    Good luck on your business.

Offline marketing is way more popular than online.

Billboards, signage, radio, tv, postcards, print, newspapers, magazines, networking, word of mouth... I see waaaay more offline marketing and advertising than I do online, on a daily basis and I'm in front of the computer for the majority of the time I'm awake.

I thing offline marketing may be harder some times but on the other hand it's more trusted with many opportunities. And i mean big opportunities.
Now online market is more flexible from the comfort of your home, yes it want's much work and effort but you are anonymous so some things are more easiest .

In offline marketing , there are more chances to cheat the people at the same time, in online marketing people can get the product which they wish by booking them in online and also in online marketing they can give the money while they get the product.

I would think that different industries thrive with different marketing techniques depending on their business structure. Online marketing gives marketers the opportunity to filter out a demographic to target, making campaigns often more successful and less expensive than offline marketing. For example, if you're a painting company in Miami and do a PPC campaign for the keyword "Miami Painter" you're going to find prospects that are looking for your services, in your area.

On the other hand, with broader campaigns such as EDDM you may find clients you would have never found before.

For most any business I do not see the harm in doing both. If you are an IMer and have access to your targeted market in the offline world, why would you not try to expand to them? And as an offline business, online marketing is almost necessary, if nothing else to build credibility, increase visibility, and establish a larger presence.

They both have their perks. I feel though that you should be comfortable talking to people with offline. I know a lot of people say you don't have to deal with clients or talk to them, but if you are going to be truly successful offline you have to have confidence in yourself and your product.

Disadvantage of online marketing: You do anything negative and the world attacks you on every page you own, you lack a more personal connection because there are so many more people to engage with, the internet is crowded so its hard to stand out

There are numerous benefits to both offline and online marketing. Online marketing allows you to more accurately target your designated demographic, while offline gives you a more general demographic. Online turns your store from an 8 – 5 store into a 24-7 store. Online removes the personal customer service, while offline allows you to connect with the customer, thus building trust and more likelihood of repeat business.

Online Marketing best bonus is tracking all activity via Analytics, also budgets are all tracked to the cent.

Offline still is good yet it depends on the product you are promoting, I personally like speaking at events and running events. It can provide good promotion for your business depending on your target market.

Hay i have share the difference between the online differ from offline marketing

Offline marketing encompasses a number of different avenues, from traditional print advertising to radio and television adverts and networking. It can be a lot easier for a person with a traditional mindset to see the facts and figures related to offline advertising as opposed to online and can also be an effective tool to keep your brand in the limelight.

As much as results from marketing has its roots traditionally in the offline type in recent years the focus has started to shift towards online marketing and making the most of a world where more and more people from all demographics and locations are using the internet.

Well, the thing is that with online marketing, you can reach so many more people for much less money that with offline. Especially if you count mobile marketing as being online marketing - the mobile market is huge right now, and will only continue to grow as more and more people buy smartphones.
Offline marketing also works - but you definitely have to know how to do it. Really any one person can make a good living doing online marketing if he's willing to learn and do some work. Whereas offline marketing requires much more investment.

It's much easier to create an "evergreen" marketing campaign offline that can literally last years before it needs to be changed.

"Evergreen" online marketing techniques are few and far between. From SEO to PPC to banners to blogs to social marketing the "rules" are constantly changing. You can wake up tomorrow morning and have your marketing campaign go totally kaput due to some controlling interest suddenly changing the "rules", and to make it worse, you adapt (if you can adapt) to the new environment and it changes all over again in a few weeks to a few months.

Despite all the talk and hype about online marketing it hasn't quite caught up with offline marketing yet. It has a lot of ground to cover, like 400 years or so. Although it's closing the gap.

But to answer your question the disadvantage of online marketing vs offline marketing which I'll describe as personal sales (because that's my background) is ...
    • The inability to get feedback so you can adjust your message.
    • "The inability to flush out prospect objections and answer them before a decision is made.
    • The inability to adjust your closing message to meet the needs of your prospect.
All these must be anticipated before the sales message is written in online marketing. That automatically makes it less effective all things being equal.

When it comes to offline it's more about building relationships, and being more personal with people.

Online it seems it's more abou the numbers, but relationships in the online industry certainly help as well.

It's just a little different in a way.

I mean if you're selling eBooks online, you should go for Online Marketing (It should be common sense). Or if you're selling hard products like clothes, hard cover books or anything else like this, then you should apply Offline Marketing Strategies...

    Hello

Online marketing it good but like a few have said here it fads fast. In my experience offline has worked great. Reason is that offline ads stick around the house in the form of a postcard, letter or a an ad in a magazine. I have had a so many people join me in a business weeks and sometimes months after they saw my ad offline since they kept it on their desk for a later time. So offline works and I highly recommend it. If google had not changed all their rules with their adwords I would have said they were right up there too. Hope this helps.

From a sales-psychology point of view there is no difference! Why not? Because people are the same both online and offline. The same things stimulate and repel them.

I think the key is the business itself and where your consumers are. Of course with today's digital age a lot has moved to online marketing but I would not say this is the best case for all businesses.

I'd avoid making these blanket generalizations, some businesses will actually not fare so well online but do much better with offline marketing. For example local fundraisers, non-profit organizations, local markets, etc.

Every industry has and needs its own approach to advertising. The online marketing industry, obviously, is going to be more oriented towards online advertising. But there are definitely cases where offline advertising can work for online businesses - you just need to carefully tune your ad to the target audience you want to reach. We do some offline advertising in the local "hip/geek/techie/coworking" spaces in our area, and it actually works quite well.

The e-commerce doesn't allow the user "to touch" the merchandise before purchasing it. Because of this, some salesmen are starting to guarantee the possibility of returning the product. In Germany, where a law that regulates e-commerce and guarantees the customers the total refund of the money exists since 2000, the electronic commerce is very popular.

As what usemyteam said, a good collaboration of online & offline marketing strategies are very important for the success of your campaign. You have to consider the type of business you run as well. Food industry usually 75% focus on offline marketing (they usually hand out business cards/ loyalty cards to diners) & put 25% effort on online marketing since their businesses target diners locally. Marketing actually depends on type of business you run.

The difference is that physically someone required for offline marketing, but not in online marketing. In offline marketing, either customer comes to the retailer or retailer (for marketing) to customers to know details about the products. In online customers can know the details about the products without using of anyone with help of internet. In offline marketing, the maketing person travel door to door but in online, no need of travelling.

  • I prefer creating hybrid systems by combining aspects of both online and offline. For example, I might run an ad in a trade publication and drive the traffic to a landing page. Or I might run an online ad and collect the leads home address and follow up with direct mail.

There's all kinds of variations you can utilize. But in my opinion, hybrid systems are the most effective.
