cpa newspaper promotions ideas???

I have this idea to promote a cpa weight loss supplements in my local newspaper. I need to know how I would go about it? Should build a sales landing page with the products/benefits/video testimonials and put that link in my ads for my customers to go to?

Or should I simply leave the link to the merchant page, with my id?? I would probably have to mask that link.

On the page I want to focus on getting sales for 2 products, they are free so I think they should be easy to sell. But I also want to build a list, so my plan is to give away a free report with more affiliate links, and capture emails, Skype names, ect.

Please give me your thoughts, ideas and lists of what to do.

    I do this, but for a different niche.

    Here's what you do...

    Get a domain with the location and niche in URL.

    Put up a squeeze page. I use Get Response.

    Find a newspaper that targets an exact town / city.

    If they allow black background + white text for your ad box, go for that. Some don't, but I find these stand out and send me more traffic.

    I do these for a number of products and I find by using a squeeze page I'm maximizing my ad spending. I spend quite a lot a month on this (and other stuff) so why spend the money only for one-shot deals? Why not sell them again and again?

    I may write a free report about this. Anyway, hope some of that helps.

    I believe there was a product called "CPA Alchemy" that dealt with offline traffic. Not sure if you wanted to pay for that information or if it even had what you were looking for, but I'm sure you could return it if it didn't.
