I've been selling my services offline for quite some
time now and made 5 figures in just 6 months of doing
this.

I get clients here and there from different traffic sources
both online and offline.

This one tip can surely get you clients but you need to invest
a little and you need to talk to your potential clients.

The secret is to go to different Offline Seminars and
network!

Just this afternoon, me and my girlfriend went to a photography
seminar then right after the gig, I talked to the speaker and offered my
services. He was really interested since he doesn't have a nice
website yet.

If you are more creative, you can help him market his seminars
online and get a cut from his ticket sales! You can also help him
sell digital products online. There are plenty of ideas in this method.

Just offer help to them. Be sincere and be transparent to your
potential customers. Trust is also very very important.

      Hi Trendier, the best way is to make friends and network
      with the people around you. Go to networking events and
      seminars and talk to people.

      Setup your sales funnel and be your own frontend by talking
      to your clients and helping them.

    haha great approach! I like that way you got the seminar leader for this!

    One more idea: you can leverage on your present clients by asking them to reffer someone to you and even you can offer them some extra service for free

    (this seminar is also great to connect with other participants and maybe you can do business with them as well)

      Yeah but once you were done with the seminar that was intended to get you new clients you would have to sit and talk to people that were trying to sell you... What a waste of time that would be! ha ha

      Sure if you want to foot the bill and spend a ton of time on everything that goes into doing your own seminars. Don't get me wrong - you can crush it with hosting your own seminars, I've done it & when done right, it can be a huge payday for your business. But it's a lot easier to just show up and network. To this day, I still have clients that networked with at seminars.

      One trick is to find out ahead of time & contact the person who's in charge and see if you can become a sponsor, so you can get added to their printed materials.

      Makes a big difference when you're getting the recommendation of the person who's putting on the seminar.

    We get our clients everywhere - through the net, we meet them at real-life events, word-of-mouth, etc. An important thing that others have said is to go to real-life events - seminars, conferences, lectures, whatever. Don't "network". People can tell when you're trying to sneakily get them to give you money. They can tell, and they usually don't like it, unless it's explicitly a business networking event.
    These real-life events are important for making contacts in your industry, and a real-life meeting is so much more effective at creating and solidifying a relationship than an online conversation.

    This is true. I was looking for customers, and I traveled to LA. It cost me around $500 for the trip, and 8 hours of driving. I met so many people that were interested in Dating Products and were willing to try things out. By the end, I was surrounded by people all asking me questions about my product. If you go to a seminar, you can expect around 20 people to want to buy. If you focus on your sales funnel, starting small, and keeping contact every day (in psychology this is called propinquity, it's your relative closeness to a person. It's better to contact 5 minutes every day than 35 minutes once a week.), they will want to buy from you. If you keep up your propinquity, people will want to also buy the higher priced items because the lower price doesn't have the same risk vs reward.

      Have you ever considered sponsoring the event? I.e., ask the event organizer to let you pay some of the costs in exchange for them introducing you a few times to the audience and giving you the right to set up a boot? Cheaper than hosting an event all by yourself with the same (though less acute) benefits.

    Yeah I realized as a computer guy with mlm experience I can make a living going to various network marketing meetings

    A few years back I contacted organizations and groups who often had speakers and events catering to business owners. Instead of offering to speak, I offered 100% free strategy sessions. 45 minutes each, one on one.

    The business owner would come in, we would go over what they needed to accomplish, and I would lay it all out. Give them all the info they needed and make a full plan. They would get so excited the sale was too easy. Of course, I didn't sell anything in the session - I had promised I wouldn't. I just scheduled a followup appointment for the next week, and closed the deal.

    In one day of these sessions, I would often see 10 business owners. I could pick up 8 new clients in one day. It was great!

      For the same reason Google does direct mail marketing: we want more clients than we can get with only one method of marketing.

          Offering more than one service isn't the same thing as "multitasking". Multi-tasking refers to doing more than one thing / one task at the same time. Many offline marketers offer more than one service to clients and do them all very well.

    The half-dozen times I've been to networking meetings, chamber meetings I always find out there is a 'goto' guy for local online marketing that does it all or one that is giving local marketing presentations. Either that or their all banks or insurance agents where online doesn't effect their business or realtors where they have already paid up the ying-yang for links and articles and posts where it's highly competitive.

    I wish I lived in an web illiterate city.

      There's a 'go-to' guy for everything in every arena. Yet you market in those arena. Because you don't know who the go-to guy is?

      If you make friends with them, earn their trust, some of them will leave the 'goto' guy when the 'goto' guy makes one mistake too many. Or when they find out the 'goto' guy can't do or doesn't want to do something you can and are willing to do.

      Banks and insurance agents are greatly affected by online marketing.

      If you're a small insurance agency, the kind that gets 20-22 new people buying from you a month, being #1 on Google for a bunch of keywords can easily get you 5-15 new clients a month. That's being affected.

      Hell, even if you make it only to #3 for keywords like:
      Chicago home insurance,
      Park Ridge home insurance,
      Skokie insurance

      you can pick 2-4 new clients a month, like clockwork (assuming your website does it's job, your Google + page does it job, i.e., you have a good offer and good copy and you Google + page is properly done.

      And, I've been to lots of different chambers of commerce. A lot of attendants are insurance agents and bankers. A lot of them are car repair people, office supplies people, dentists, attorneys, promotional product sellers, marketers, videographers, photographers, nail salon owners, men's suit store owners. You have to network, though, to find them, be introduced to them.

      Look at a chamber of commerce's directory to find out who can be at an event.

      Look at it, pick the ones that sound interesting, see if they were signed up to attend the last event you attended (often, on the site, before and after events, Chambers have lists of who's going to attend/attended) send them an email about the last event you attended:

      Hi,

      I didn't get a chance to meet you at X event. The nature of this kind of events, you just don't get to meet all the people. But I wanted to introduce myself and see if there's anything I can do to help you.

      If they didn't attend:

      Hi,

      I noticed you're a member of X Chamber but did not attend the event. I don't know whether you'd have found it useful or not. But I met/talked to a number of awesome people. I might be able to connect you with them.

      How about we meet so we can figure out if we can be useful to one another.

      I've picked up clients at Chambers of Commerce. But it's networking, not selling. Bob Burg's book, Endless Referrals is an awesome book to learn how to fine tune your networking.
