Brand new Business wants local presence

Hi guys.

I need help of the expert warriors pls.

A brand new business (taxi-cab) wants to establish itself online, please can.you help. I have been asked to do a website and book page, but I want to have more upsells to present to them. I.e Google business page, Twitter n linkedin, etc.

    What about a mobile app for bookings? Take a look at Uber and Lyft and see which of their marketing tactics you can use for your client.

      Look at the app. Online presence in this instance should be both Desktop AND Mobile, and if you could only choose one it would be mobile. And when I say mobile I mean TRUE mobile and not responsive.

      Keep in mind that the more you develop, this becomes added points of contact that need to be monitored. you don't want to have a twitter account and some young lady by her self sending a "Tweet" for a cab and not getting an answer. So there needs to be a judgement call made in terms of what can be handled and what is to much.

      I might think of developing a text system with them "text your location to 55555" or the like .

    I'd totally in agreement about a mobile site. I think their phones are where the majority of your potential bookings will be on when searching for a Taxi service.

    so do they want a local presence as per your thread title or an online presence as per your OP

    What sort of taxi firm are they?

    a) one that picks people up late at night and gets them home safely or

    b) one that takes more daytime trips to airports, shopping malls, hospitals, theatres etc .

    Of course they can and will do both but what are they wanting mainly .

    Reason for asking is a will be more mobile phone immediate I need a taxi now before I forget where I live booking, whereas b) will be more considered, pre booking via the PC

    And the above is simplifying the whole situation
