What do you advise for collecting potential prospects? Would it be better to go through and handpick places that could benefit from my services, even though it would take more time? I would already have notes about their business, such as: the owners name, if they have a site, what the condition of their online presence (if any) is, and so on.

Or would it be more productive to scrape or buy compiled lists, with little to no time spent researching the company and learn all of the required info on the call?

What is your take on this?

    It may even out at the end in terms of time spent on hand picked places vs having to weed through compiled lists.

    Question is which is going to convert better and will be better time spent on?
