Simple way to get customers and track it.

I wanted to post a simple idea that I got a while back, I'm sure all the veterans of business would know about this sort of thing but if you have a new site, maybe it'll help.

Okay, if you've just opened up a new web store, especially if you're using something like Big Commerce, Volusion, or something similar, they make it extremely easy to create discount codes or codes in general.

My recommendation for a an offline solution would be to get some business cards printed up, either using vistaprint or using the simple stock cards you can get down at Staples or the like.

Put your logo up there with whatever you discount you'd like to and then of course the special code that you've created and then leave that card or give it out EVERYWHERE!

It's cheap and for the most part effective, especially if you offer an interesting enough discount. "Interesting" to me, is at least 15% anything over 25% is definitely a head turner.

Again, working with the idea that you're on big commerce or similar, you'll be able to see how many people have used that code etc.
