AshvilleDiners.com for example, or AspenSkiingDirectory.com, BeaufortDentists.com, PhuketHotelsDirectory etc. etc. – these examples are all available unique domains!). Most directory sites show an A-Z category list, you instead will be focusing on business niches!

Third advantage:
easy traffic! Visitors will go to your site looking for an address, map, directions, or possibly reviews, or ratings etc. and that’s exactly what the site offers (along with even more features – as shown – like a blog/articles or real time news etc.).

Fourth advantage:
compared to any other affiliate website, easy money too: diners, dentists, attorneys, hoteliers, etc. etc. will pay you a monthly fee to have their listing featured on your site. This will show above all the other listings. Alternatively you can feature a business with a graphic ad in the sidebar. Fifth (huge) advantage:

The plugin we use (we have full developers license and you will get updates for life of course) comes in two flavours: USA and International (rest of the world). The USA site (Naples, FL) has six categories in the beauty business. It also has reviews from the top menu. It has a blog section with generic articles re:beauty, this could be your blog section if you want, or insights/commentary etc. This has been done to make the site even more visible, and interesting to visitors. Besides standard affiliates (like LinkShare, ClickBank etc.) there are a couple of graphic adverts, 961 Aveda in the sidebar, and Felix Andrew in the footer. These are (fake, not affiliated) adverts linking to real businesses in the area. Local businesses will pay you to have their ads there, or they can, via entry form and Paypal payment, have their listing featured at the top above the others (light-blue section under the map).
If you want to test the plugin with a city or businesses familiar to you, simply click on the ‘?’ symbol from the top menu. You will see all the categories this plugin can pull in (this is automated, we did not design that page). Click on one, like ‘dentists’, you will see all the dentists in Naples. Go to the URL at the top of your browser and change Naples, FL with the location of your choice (like where you live, if in USA), you will see all the dentists in your area. (This feature, the ‘?”, is for demo/testing purposes and will be removed from the site as per instructions).

The ‘rest of the world’ site (Marbella, Spain), since this is a popular touristic location, has restaurants, hotels and golf (Marbella is very famous for its golf courses, Puerto Banús nearby is a unique place in Europe where all the riches go, huge yachts, Ferraris etc). The ‘international’ variation of this plugin shows listings in a slightly different way (with maps) and reviews are not available from the top menu, but under each listing. It is also multi language: English, Spanish, German and Greek (terrific feature). It is also different from the admin panel, but still very easy to implement (full instructions included). This site is also a very powerful aggregator ($60 plugin, updates & support for life), automatically pulling in every day strictly related news (could be from anywhere of course) all of them with picture. This adds interest to the site and also is terrific for SEO. Given the huge amount of money that goes around in Marbella/Costa del Sol, consider the $29 monthly fee (in the ‘Feature your business’ form) just an example, it could easily be 10 times that once the site has traffic. This is the kind of destinations we want to hit, but could be anywhere of course.

HOW TO PURCHASE A DIRECTORY SITE
Even though you can purchase these two sites with domain name (sale page 'Choice A'), unless you are specifically interested in Naples Beauty and Marbella, you should get them without domain name, i.e. as digital downloads (note: these are limited editions of 12). No it is strictly related to a city. Try this 'syntax' (example) :
Beauty Directory of Naples, Florida | city
in the link that will open, replace:
Naples, Fl
and:
plumbers
with different city, state/different business to see how a specific category/city shows.

Where are results pulled from for the UK, we dont have citysearch here
