Found this forum after looking at a few different places to sell my website. I am new to all of this and hopefully I am going about it in the right way. Please feel free to ask any questions or request information on the website. I thought I saw somewhere on here where people said not to post the URL so if anyone wants to check out the site you can send me a message and I will provide you with the link. I can also send pictures or post pictures if that is helpful.

Soccer Handicap was created as a website that would provide soccer news and soccer betting picks to clients and visitors. I am looking to sell the fully designed and functional website, the domain name, and everything associated with the website (social media, etc.) because the primary contributor to the website, who provided updates on news and information and the betting picks, has decided to get out of the industry and has left me with very limited options moving forward. I provided the funding for the business and website start up and I am looking to simply recoup some of my initial investment so I can move on to other projects that I am more familiar with.

The design and build of the site was done with the idea in mind that the website did not always have to be soccer related, and it would be very easy for someone to transition to a website that covers any other topic that they might want to promote such as other sports, a news website, or any type of website that requires membership, membership fees, or requires any items to be purchased. The flexibility of the website really allows it to cover almost any need, topic, or industry that you can think of. Of course the option remains for someone within the sports handicapping industry, who is looking to increase or create their online presence, to take over the website and begin selling their picks or charging a subscription fee tomorrow if they would want. In short, the website that we have created offers something to people in almost any industry anywhere in the world.

The website was designed and created with WordPress. Almost everyone is familiar with WordPress and it’s probably the easiest and most powerful blogging and website content management system available today. It is great for blogging, news sites, music sites, etc. and is why I believe the website that we have created and designed would be a good purchase for anyone in a wide variety of industries.

On a daily basis we used several of the following plug ins, and in case you were wondering here is a full list of plug ins that are used throughout the website and would be available to you: Advanced Custom Fields, Affiliates Pro, Affiliates WooCommerce Integration, Akismet, Disqus Comment System, Duplicate Post, Email Users, Fix My Feed RSS Repair, Fix RSS Feeds, Hello Dolly, InScore, JetPack by WordPress.com, Login With Ajax, Official StatCounter PlugIn, Post Expirator, Premium Content Sales for WooCommerce, Quack Chat, Really Simple Twitter Feed Widget, Sensei, SEO Ultimate, Sidebar Login, Simple Twitter Tweets, Simplr User Registration Form Plus, Subscribe2, Social Media Auto Publish, Tabbed Login Widget, User Meta Manager, WooCommerce, Woocommerce Remove Quantity, WooThemes Updater, WordPress Importer.

It was very easy for us on daily basis to update articles and the content throughout the website. With just a few clicks we were able to post entirely new articles, pictures, and media for any content that we wanted to post. The user registration plug-in allowed visitors to easily sign up at the website and allowed us to gather pertinent demographic information. The Disqus Comment System allowed these members to comment on our different posts and greatly reduced any spam comments that seem to be all over the internet these days. QuackChat allowed any visitors to get in touch with us immediately and gave us the ability to offer excellent customer service. SEO Ultimate is truly an all in one SEO feature. The Twitter and Facebook plug ins on the main page allowed us to provide our visitors and members with the chance to stay on top of information from a huge array of sources and the Social Media Auto Publish made it easy to relay any of our blog posts to all of our members and followers on a variety of platforms with just the click of a button.

One of the most impressive areas of the website is what we were able to do with the Products page. At one point we sold betting picks and our registered members were able to purchase this information with the help of several WooCommerce plug ins. We were able to set up everything where the website could accept payments from our clients via PayPal and credit cards or debit cards. This capability still exists on the website so if you are looking for a method to receive payments in any capacity this would already be set up and available to you. In addition to the ability for people to easily purchase whatever the website was - or could be – selling, we also created a unique SEO platform where you could help spread the word on whatever would be selling or in various topics in Search Engine Listings and Social Network Listings with the help of title tags, meta descriptions, search result types, images, open graph type, twitter type, inbound auto links anchors and auto link exclusions, and finally meta robot tags.

We took this one step further and created a unique automated system that would alert anyone who chose to receive them automatic email and text message alerts anytime that a new betting pick was posted. We then took this feature another step further and created another automated system that would allow members to purchase “credit” with funds in their PayPal account or their credit card, automatically receive any new betting picks via email or text message almost instantaneously after they were posted, and have the “credits” automatically deducted from their “credit balance”. This would be a perfect set up for anyone in the sports handicapping industry who wants to easily send their picks to their clients with just a click of a button and basically zero hassle, the whole time accepting payments from a wide variety of funding sources. This automated system that we created would also be useful to anyone who has a subscription based site or charges a monthly fee for their content.

As I said above the price that I am asking for the website is what I believe is fair. Obviously I am not attempting to sell a website that has consistent monthly earnings or a lot of page views. We do have 240 registered members and over 1200 Likes on Facebook, but that may or may not be beneficial to whoever purchases the website. The main thing that I am selling is a fully designed, fully functional website that contains a lot of features that someone looking to increase their online presence could utilize to expand and grow their business.

As I said above, my options moving forward with the website are at this point limited and I am simply trying to recoup some of the initial investment that I made in this website, and therefore the asking price is less than half of what it cost me to actually design and develop the website. I will consider all offers that are submitted and please let me know if you have any questions. I will also provide any additional information to the best of my abilities that anyone request.

Just out of interest where are you pulling those images from, I had a similar site to yours 18 months ago doing well getting a lot of traffic.

So I'm assuming you are using a feed from somewhere as was I, do you have the rights to use those images.

Then I got an email from a company acting for the press telling me I had to remove all the images from the site as they were copyrighted, failure to remove would lead to court action.

Fernando1954: when the site was first launched we had worked out a content sharing agreement with a few other soccer sites who did have permission to post certain pictures, and the majority of the pictures that you see at the website were used under that agreement.

However, the Champions League picture and the English Premier League pictures that you see on certain articles were the exception, and we never had an actual "ok" from those leagues about using their images. I thought there might be a chance that we would one day have to take them down, but I guess were just a small fish and if they knew they didnt care.
