Keyword suggestions for paid traffic

Hey guys, Im following a course on Bing ads. Its a great course that taught me some cool tips & tricks. I learned a lot of things, but one thing that wasn't covered was the amount of keywords that is needed for the Bing ads. I am in the affiliate marketing niche (Make Money Online).

Now, Ive seen people with 30k keywords and Ive seen people with 8K keywords. Both seem to be doing okay based on that ad information and how long they've been running.

I was told to choose about 10-20 specific keywords and get the rest based of those main keywords. Then change all those keywords to 'Exact', But how do I go about knowing how many to get?

Currently, I am using a keyword generator from those main keywords and just getting the max keywords for each of the main keywords....

Then...

Process of elimination after running a couple of ads?

Any advice would be great....Thanks.

      If you are following the course, why don't you asked the guy who created the course for advice.

      If you are garnering 10k, 20k or even 100k whatsoever keywords, how are you going to create ad title and body for each of them or keep it targeted to most of them?

      You asked for a "specific formula" in ppc.

      Problem is, there is no specific formula for you to follow.

      If I say creating each ad copy for each of the keywords for your 100k keywords is the way to go, are you willing to put in effort to create 100k ad copies for each keyword?

      Do you have time to monitor them?

      Do you even the budget for 100k keywords?

      If you spam 100k keywords with poorly targeted ad copy, you will missed out golden keywords that converts.

        You are correct. I really appreciate your input...I was just looking for advice and you helped out with what you said. It makes sense. I just wasnt sure if I had the right away with the method I was using.
