Terrible Results Using Bing Ads

Hey!

So i was doing a campaign on bing ads. I use adwords mainly but heard that bing ads had some cheap traffic. They really do have cheaper traffic but NONE of it converted. Sending the traffic to a nice landing page i had ZERO conversions. I also had a 8% ctr which is amazing but no conversions.

Not sure why bing traffic sucks but it does for me. Anyone else use bing and has had better luck then I?

    Say ShoeNickel,

Did you even bothered to take a look around this section?

If none of it converts, it is your problem, not mine or warriorforum.

8% is not amazing, it is mediocre.

Take a look at this thread for more information to your problem.
    http://www.warriorforum.com/pay-per-...-roi-bing.html

Anyway if you give up, you can always go back to adwords or do SEO.

Bing Ads has quality traffic, where the traffic is real people and not automated bot traffic, so there is the potential to make sales and achieve the level of earning ROI.

It's all about A/B testing, optimizing, updating, etc.

  • I'd say one of the possible reasons for this is appeal of service/product. Yes, you can have high CTR for campaigns but if we look into the formula of CTR which is (number of clicks/number of impressions)*100, you'll understand that high CTR is just an illusion. It is because of the low number of impressions that we're getting higher CTRs in Bing. Along with that, we can never be absolutely sure that whatever searches are getting us impressions are actually the ones which show intention. Some people could be searching with the intention of research, some for other purpose etc. so chances of tapping our prospect here on Bing are very thin. What I mean here is how many people would go on Bing and type in "buy premium leather bags online". Very few; how can I be sure about it? Here is a stat collecting domain which shows, In past 12 months, across the globe, 90% of the people use Google as a search engine for online searches, check it out here: StatCounter Global Stats - Browser, OS, Search Engine including Mobile Usage Share.

So as we can see product/service appeal is not very thick in Bing search engine's ecosystem due to lack of number of qualified prospects & if we are receiving lesser conversions there, it's because we have very few prospects there. Having a great landing page and product/service offering can only get conversion through Bing.

You said you have a"nice landing page". Please explain what you mean by nice.
and yes 8% ctr is not amazing.
Are you redirecting traffic from the landing page to the offer?

There are so many factors that affect convertion rates, so nobody can give you good advice with just the information you're providing. What is your product, landing page and is the traffic you send to it targeted enough?

Bing works great for me and all of the products I'm doing. Yes, ctr of 8% is very good if it's for the whole account.

    Good luck

In my opinion, Bing happens to be a great platform for PPC ads. But you need to work on targeting the right keywords and having a good landing page to pitch your offer. Of course, you need to tweak your campaign and focus on your winners and get rid of poor performing campaigns.

Why you are using bing Ad words. Why don't you go for Google Ad words. It is a good one if you are going for Pay per click.

Agreed, Bing/yahoo are good for certain niches.

    Google: tech savvy people, b2b
Bing/Yahoo: products for an older demographic, certain shopping categories

Use them both and tune independently. Over time the cream will rise to the top.

    How many clicks??

I am also struggling with bing ads but I am getting help. Its not fair to compare bing to adwords. Its like comparing Manhattan to Cleveland.

The truth is you need to find out what works. Thats what I am doing but I am not there yet.
