PPC Ads on Linkedin Worth it?

I've worked with Google AdWords and facebook ppc but never Linkedin. Can anyone tell me pro's and con's of ppc advertising campaigns on Linkedin?

All I'm hearing about the ways people ARE using Linkedin for lead gen are 1) $40 email address scrapers and 2) the software you buy for $2,000 or subscribe to for $200/mo.

Are these tools out there because Linkedin traditional PPC ads just don't produce?

Is emailing Linkedin members (by using the scraper tools or Linkedin email tools) the only way to truly benefit from Linkedin?

Finally, who is the "grande expert" of Linkedin advertising? I know there are a zillion linkedin social media experts but I'm looking for someone like what Perry Marshall is to adwords.

    Linkedin have a limit of 10 emails to prospects per month so you will not profit easily from Linkedin using white hat strategies.

    We dont recommend black hat strategies so you will be better off investing in either SEO or PPC or a combination of both.

    I never used them before but like you wanted to try them out. I didn't because they are very expensive and last time I checked, it costs more then a $1 to bid on keywords. Some even cost $2. I rather spend $0.20-$0.45 per click on Bing/Yahoo.

    I wouldn't recommend it.depends on what your selling. The traffic might cost too much there are free ways to get traffic from linkedin.

      There is an entire section on PPC on this forum where you can find a lot of good advice. If you're looking for a course with videos I suggest Easy TV money by Nick Chou (also on this forum in the WSO section).

    Why not stimulating your profile with targeted connections?
    Then you create lists of targeted contacts so you can send messages in an automated process.
    I dont consider this method blackhat since I know lots of professionals using this as a booster.
