PPC has dropped quite a lot

Not quite sure what has happened, but January has started off with quite a dramatic increase in page views and clicks each day. There doesn't seem to have been any steady increase, just one day I was receiving 5500/6000 page views, now every day in the month of January page views have been 7000+. The same can be said for clicks, they have increased quite a bit as well. Having said this, earnings seem to have dropped in the last year if I look at what I was getting 12/18 months ago compared to what I get now. For example, 90 clicks 15 months ago would have probably earned me close on to £20, probably more actually. 94 clicks yesterday earned me £13. So it looks as though the pay per click has dramatically decreased over the last few months. Just wondered if anybody else has found this to be the case?
