Best Paid Traffic Sources?

I was recently watching a series of videos starting with And in the second video, the speaker says I should use AdKnowledge to get quality traffic for my ads. I could also use Jema Media and pay for clicks rather than impressions.

However, I read around the web that AdKnowledge requires a minimum deposit of $1000 to start (although another got away with depositing only $50), and someone spent 48 hours trying to get open an account on Jema Media and received no help from site support. I already use eLeavers but it lacks the keyword category selection that I witnessed on AdKnowledge, which I believe would be an advantage over manually typing in keywords.

If none of the paid traffic sources are worth pouring funds into, I invite you to tell me others that are; they MUST also allow affiliate links.

The one that convert best for your market?

I believe your question should be, which paid sources have sufficient volume of traffic that can match my business objective?

How can you find out? There are a few alternatives:

Research - can you find competitors and have they been there long term?

Testing - commit a small budget to testing

Google adwords should be the choice if you have the budget. The visitors are highly targeted. Its too costly for me though. I tried facebook ads but it was a big money waste for me. They took my money and never activated my ad. No response when I enquired multiple times . Maybe I was just unlucky.

Lol. my eyes had just gotten the attention to your signature this morning or yesterday. Nice coincidence that you had to quote exactly the same
By the way, I agree that I can't get google adwords benefits because of money. Sigh back

Facebook support is THE WORST!!! I make my living off of social media marketing, and FB gives me the biggest headache. They NEVER give an intelligent reply to complaints or questions or issues or problems. If I wasn't getting such good ROI from FB ads, I'd never give them a dime. One time they rejected 2 of my ads for hoola hoops because FB said I was trying to sell sex toys to children. Then the next week, they rejected another 2 of my hoola hoop ads because the ads were "promoting weight loss to children" . Both times I complained and requested a review of the ads, and when someone did reply, they just said, "Your ad has been rejected because it promotes sex toys and weight loss to children. Thanks for contacting us." Obviously they didn't even read my complaint or ad (or they are just super stupid and think a hoola hoop is a sex toy)
FB knows they can give horrible (and often no) support and still make a killing, so they don't care about customer service or support.

as far as I am aware Google doesn t allow you to promote affiliate links. You can advertise on Facebook but sales on Facebook rather low comparing to Google as people come to Facebook to chill out, they are not willing to spend. If you have a good niche you can find ads coupons ( godaddy gives away Facebook ad coupons) and try, you can also try Bing advertising.

What about people who got their advertising privileges revoked permanently by advertising Clickbank products? How can they do affiliate marketing if Facebook does not allow affiliate links? I also had one person who paid to advertise and their ad was never put up. Facebook literally ate their money.

Hey mbug90, you are correct. You can't advertise on FB and send traffic direct to CB affiliate offers. You have to be a little creative. Some ways that work are sending them to your own squeeze page that give a free report in the same niche you are looking to market in. Then send them emails for affiliate offers from CB. You could also make a review site comparing the different offers with affiliate links to the offers. You could even just make a normal blog that presents the problem people are looking for the solution (the CB product.) You just can't send traffic from FB directly to an affiliate link. You have to get creative.

Squeeze pages require websites that I have to pay over a hundred dollars to host each year. I don't know how blogs could do it. I once read that people are more enticed by just domain names. I take it that means if your website is on HubPages, Wix, etc., people are likely to be turned off by it.

There is much risk if you have to invest money in something that may not work.

Google Adwords will be your best bet. Take note of the restrictions though or you could get banned permanently. Lots of other people are having success with Bing Ads as well.

For social media traffic sources, nothing beats Facebook. You could zero in on your target market by choosing particular age groups, genders, countries, etc. Once you've built up an audience, you could then have Facebook target people that could fit into that group as well.

  • Why don't you test the standard, most reliable traffic sources like:

    Facebook,
    Adwords,
    Bing,
    Reddit,
    StumpleUpon,
    and Solo Ads
