Hello,

I've noticed this very new update from Google AdWords: https://support.google.com/adwords/answer/6049217 that won't accept anymore redirects.

Do you see any method to avoid this? I think this would have a huge impact in affiliate marketing.

Thank you,
Cristian

wondered about this too as i use third party redirects. the adwords site says to put 3rd party redirects as a valuetrack custom parameter. and that redirect will be first in the final URL, then the landing page URL will be at the end of the string. at least thats what i think the site suggests. its a bit confusing.

thanks. at first i was a bit confused that they were banning third party redirects (on different domains) and only want advertisers to put the same landing page as the Final URL, and so that matches the display URL.

But after reading all of that, it seems they will still support third party domain redirects as long as i put it first in the valuetrack string, and then put the {lpurl} parameter, after the domain redirect. is this correct? can anyone actually confirm this will work and third party redirects will still work for affiliates? i just want to confirm 100% this is still the case.

          Hi fartarific,

Yes, you can still use 3rd party redirects for tracking purposes.

The changes will allow you to make modifications to your tracking parameters without resetting your data statistics for the ad and without temporarily disabling the ad while it awaits yet another human review.

What tracking uses the "url=" string? I am currently using Prosper202 and testing out Voluum, neither of these use "url=" in their tracking links.

Anyone using Prosper202 or Voluum with the upgraded urls on Adwords?
