Does anyone use ppc for affiliate content website?

Hello, I just started a website filled with content articles (all of them are more than 1200 words). I do not do any selling on the website, the aim of my website is to get my visitors email so that I can send them more helpful content and later offer them usefull products that they can buy. I am NOT in the make money online niche. I am currently using free traffic, I wanted to know if anyone here uses pay per click (adwords, bing, yahoo etc) on their own website like mine and do you make a decent profit on pay per click.

      Theoretically, I know it is great, I just want the confirmation that someone is actually doing it. So Newideamarketing do you use ppc for your affiliate content website?

    Hopefully your content on your website is congruent with the affiliate offers you are making.

    If your offers are congruent I would use Facebook ppc to market those offers through your blog.

    You have a better relationship with your readers and that will in return give you a higher conversion rate and will be easier to make a profit.

    I haven't tried PPC. But I think facebook ppc would be better for content website with affiliate if you are not targeting direct buyers. Google ads would be better for direct buyers.
    If you are trying to attract people first to your content and then make the visitors interested in buying the affiliate product, then facebook would be better since you are not trying to target people who searching to buy something. Plus facebook is also cheaper.

      Sunoy, I would not be targeting buyer keywords like "buy fitness equipments" or "cheap fitness equipment" instead I would be targeting keywords like "how do I stay fit at home" or "fitness tips for office workers"

      I am basically targeting people that are seeking information, then I get them on my email list then I send content regularly and occasion recommend paid products.
