Adsense clickthrough rate question: Images + text or text only?

I've been working on optimizing my Adsense revenue. In my dashboard, Google Adsense says that I'll get an 85% improvement if I switch to images and text. Anyone any experiences with this? I'm doing okay with text only

    Just based on one day's worth of results, it appears I am getting less clicks with pictures and text but the VALUE of the clicks are higher. It seems I'm making MORE MONEY with LESS.

    Again, this is just based on one day's results. Too soon to tell obviously but it looks promising.

    Yes images do give more revenue than text ads as well. And more than that banner ads do generate revenue. But also a combination of all those makes a perfect sense in delivering the revenue in a efficient manner.

    I had to switch back to text only because the Click Through Rate was HORRIBLE. It fell by 66%. The click value or CPC DOUBLED. In the end, I was making less money with picture/text compared to text only.
