My Adsense was approved - what to do now?

I got an email that google adsense was approved for my blogspot and that soon I'll be able to run ads, but where do those ads come from?
How do I add them or will the be added automatically?

What's the maximum amount of ads you can run? And what are the differences in earning money?

I'm a dummie.

There's a quick tutorial on blogger on how you can start running the ads.

You just click on the earnings tab.

I would advise you to go into your adsense acct once you have it - and thoroughly read the terms and conditions rather than relying on a "quick tutorial".

An adsense account (congrats!) can be worth a lot of money over the years but if you violate any of the terms of use you can lose it quickly and permanently. "I didn't know" doesn't work with google so know the rules and stick with them and you'll be fine.

  • Well, we're all dummies at one time or another so don't sweat it.

But the advice above is good: read the terms and conditions first.

Basically, you are now a publisher (of ads). The other side of the coin are the advertisers using the Google Adwords platform. That's where the ads will come from once you put in the Adsense code on your site.

Once the code you were given installed, ads are served based on your page's content to match the advertisers' targeting. ie: advertisers selling computers will best be served if ads show on pages discussing computers. There's more to it than that but that's the gist of it.

As for number of ads on a page, I'm an advertiser, not a publisher, so I don't know. That is likely spelled out in the TOS/T&C so again, advice is to read that.

As for potential earnings, this is based on what the advertisers are willing to pay (their maximum bid) and their ad quality which determines the actual amount they will pay when the ad is clicked. You will get a certain percentage of this, I think it's 68%. Basically, let the system do it's thing and you concentrate on making the best blog possible. Google is there to make money so don't fret about getting pennies per click.

    Thanks a lot,

I still don't understand much of it.

Below "my blogs", I see "earnings" and when I click on it, I see:

    Google AdSense
    View dashboard
    Account ID:
    Client ID:

    and some more stuff.

What I still don't understand: where do you find the advertisers and how much ads can you add in total?

I'd really need a step by step guide for babies/dummies.

    But thanks a lot already.

Never show your adsense ID in Public and remove immediately from the above post.

Go the blogger dashboard and see adsense setup something, once you paste that code in your theme ads will be appearing on them.

I am not using blog spot from the past 7 years so cannot say anything. If you still want any help for setup I can do it for free.

Every thing you are asking about is explained fully on the adsense site - you have access to that site with your adsense acct.

Go here: AdSense ? Google Ads

and start reading through the section listed at the top...such as "how it works"

It's that site that's Chinese for me.
I still don't understand anything of it.
When I click on that link you gave me, I only get the message that my website is already linked to adsense, but what I don't understand is: where do you find ads? How come some people publish ads for computers and others for food?

    PS:

I'm on the page displaying the following info:

    Home
    My ads
    Allow & block ads
    Performance reports

    I also get this info:

    Estimated earnings View payments

    Today so far

    € 0,20

    Page views

    36

    RPM

    € 5,54

When I click on ads, I see:

    Get code |
    Edit ad type Active

What can I do with "new ad unit"? I read "Ad unitsYou currently have a host-only account, so this ad code will show as a blank space outside of host partner sites. To find out how to get live ads on other websites, please refer to our Help Center."

Just log into your adsense account. Add the script to the header in the template and it will show on all blog pages.

Thanks, but I'm going to ask a question: how do you add the script to the header?

Is it in the layout part you have to do it?

PS: what do I do with this?

    Edit ad type
Ad type will be applied where applicable to the selected ad units.

It's recommended to change it to text and display ads? Does it have any benefits?

Well, first of all, when being approved for Adsense you have to do a little dance to celebrate

And then, you should go to Google and look for the tutorial. Just google for "how to add adsense to blogspot". I see you have already done the main steps. Now you just have to update your blog regularly and, if you want, test to see which type of ads work best for you.

Log in to your adsense account and create ads under the Ads tab. You will be given code and paste this code to your website. If ever you have the same account for that blog and adsense, you can automatically add a widget (on your blogger) and choose adsense.

I don't get it and don't find it, my earnings are still zero after many days. I don't know how to create ads, where do they come from?

    I see this menu:
    Home
    My ads
    Allow & block ads
    Performance reports

    Maybe that helps, thanks already.
