I am planning to invest $50 on Adwords. Need some advice regarding these two queries:

1) Is it a bad idea to invest $50 for $1.5 per word clicks for a weight loss product? The keywords are laser targeted though.

2) The click will take the user to my review and not on a landing page. Is that a bad idea?

I would always split test at least 3 different ads.

If your budget is $50 I would do 2 ads with $25 budget in each. Keep testing and checking the results.

You can support your traffic with free organic traffic. I personally use videos for all of my free traffic. They are easy to put together and quite easy to get ranked and get a constant stream of free leads.

      Thanks a lot bro.
One final query, do you think it will be a bad idea to send the traffic to my review instead of a landing page?

$50 with $1.50 per click will give you roughly 33 clicks, now you have to remember some of those 33 clicks will be wasted in terms of information seekers and people just being nosey which is why your ad will have to be super optimised to deter these types of visitors.

Now do you reasonably believe you can make a commission from 33 visitors or get an opt in ?

What is your commission per sale or how much is each visitor worth ?

In terms of testing alone I dont think 33 clicks is enough. If you decide to go ahead, make sure it is very well tracked.

      Hi Akif,

I am afraid that $50 is not going to be adequate for a test. I would characterize that as more of flyer, rather than a test. The number of clicks you will receive will be so small that the results, whatever they are, will likely be random and unreliable. About the only thing that can likely be validated from a test with such a small investment is that you were able to successfully spend $50 on a test that gives you inconclusive results.

Having said that, you can gain some knowledge, like you were able to write ads that got approved, and eventually got clicks. You will get a rough ideal of what kind of CTR you can expect from those ads, that is, if you focused your test on a single keyword.

I always encourage people to test, however, it is important to learn to use methods that give you valid results, otherwise you are likely to draw incorrect conclusions based upon random results.

Now if you are able to follow up that initial investment, with another $50, and another, and another, and so on. then you may start to get somewhere.

Commission per sale will be around $28.
I want to know what you think? Do people usually get sales from 33 visitors. The keywords are strong buyer keywords btw.
      Thanks for your views though

You could get 33 sales for 33 visits...its unlikely but you could. You just need to target specific keywords, buying keywords rather than research. Grab your user in the right phase of the process.

To be honest 50.00 in AdWords in nothing to invest. Odds are you won't get the sales out of it and you will become discouraged reading wrong stats due to limited time and budget. To make AdWords successful you must be devoted to making it work for you. This takes time and money. There is no overnight success. Some professions do get immediate results using AdWords such as Lawyers, Insurance , Plumbers etc... at 28.00 profit per sale I would not recommend AdWords for you. Just my 2 cents. Thanks.

Pay per click (PPC), also called cost per click, is an internet advertising model used to direct traffic to websites, in which advertisers pay the publisher (typically a website owner) when the ad is clicked.

Remember the best to test something is "continuity" if you will start to test and after 2 days money will fly out of your pocket and you will stop testing then it is bad idea.If you will test for a week or 2 weeks then it is good idea..Only what i can see as a problem is that the budget is too low. Also please read all the terms so that your account is not banned from adwords.
