So i've been doing alot of research into cpa and selling for people like clickbank and maxbounty...

Firstly all, over the place i see people saying "it doesnt cost much to get started about $25-$50 for a test campaign" Fair enough, that sounds like theres money to be made dead easy. But am i right in saying that that $50 is going to get you no-where? Even the great Vick says you dont need a website or anything else just the test campaign, but thyen i see everyone talking about squeeze pages which cost money, you'll need to host this aswel, which costs more money, building a list paying aweber or similar to mass email, which again costs money.

I've seen some pretty good pages from the seller that give out reviews and testemonials etec, so why bother redirecting to a landing page? and also ive seen that some PPC networks dont allow direct linking? Im not quite sure exactly what that means so if someone could clarify thatd be cosmic.

So if i start out with $50 im literally just throwing it away without first spending money on squeeze, hosting, tracking and email emailer right? So whats the cost here? $500 to actually get started on something that you can refine and scale?

I'm broke as **** and where as i could spend $50 on a campaign that would go straight to a vendors mainpage (albeit it seems as though a $100-$200 upfront investment is a mandatory minimum in most cases) is that even likely to bring in any results without all the other stuff added on that i literally cannot afford to utilise until i make a few decent sales.

Cheers for any heads up guys.

It's going to differ from affiliate to affiliate and it depends how quickly you want to 'get started.' $500 is a number I see often because it's a solid amount that can cover your start up costs and/or get you into some ad or PPV networks like 50onRed.

It's possible to make money in CPA with a lot less, it's just going to take a lot more time and work while limiting your options, especially if you don't already have an established website with consistent organic traffic.

You can also make your own squeeze pages for free if you have basic working knowledge of Photoshop and HTML. (lots of free online tutorials if not) That's the type of time and extra work you'll have to put in with a limited budget.

    Cheers.

Cheers for your reply Joe, in the abscence of a reply i went ahead and thought $500 would be about right to get started, i figurd if i test a campaign at about $20 a day for 7 days to start with, removing any poorly performing keywords and adding in newer ones i can find, then ramp it up if things are converting well. I calculated resukts at a conversion rate of 0.5%-1.5% and all going well i could be off to a good start.

just waiting for a nice fat tax rebate to come in and im gonna be off and no stopping me.

Sounds like a pretty solid plan to start out with. Don't be afraid to talk to your MaxBounty AM as well if you ever need a few tips.

        Wish you luck!

Try bing PPC promoting MaxBounty CPA or Clickbank offer to see some quick conversion. Take note there is high chance you will get conversion but definitely it's not sustainable for long term.

I've only signed up with clickbank so far, i was going to get a few sales first then try my hand at max bounty when i've got the hang of things. PM me if you want to be my maxbounty rep Joe. I sure it'd benefit us both if i started winning and cpa ppc.
