Hey everyone!

I am attempting to advertise a health and beauty product using ppc.. I have already tried using PPV with DirectCPV and have had no luck.. Loads of clicks on my landing page but about 1 click to the offer.. this doesn't seem right at all...

Anyway..

I want to try advertising the same offer using Bing ads, my question is: Should I directly link the users to the sales page or should I create a landing page first and then let them continue themselves through.. ALSO.. should I be collecting their emails and building an email list for this?

Sorry for the beginner questions but I just don't have much experience in this type of advertising.

Thank you all!

    Hi,

You should really build landing pageS and collect user data.
There is multiples reasons for it.
First, you can optimize your landing pages to maximise the conversion rate.
Secondly, you can adapt your landing pages for every ad groups and use the same keywords in your ads/landing page so you can optimize you quality socre.
Third, you're creating value for your business by collecting email address or anything else.
Fourth, when you direct linking, you have only one shot to convert the user, when collecting his email, you have multiples shots to convert it on multiples offers / conversion funnel.

It means also, that you can earn multiple time on the same user

There is a lot of other reasons to do it but this is the 4 that came in my mond directly.

Alright I see, so should the landing page contain some info about the product, some pictures and then an email box that says something like "enter your email to continue" ?

What service do you recommend using to collect email addresses?

    Thank you

(It obviously fills the browser on the actual page)

I just need to know am I doing it wrong, is it my LP, niche or is it just the traffic quality?

                Hi StringFingers,

It took only a few seconds to see the main problem with your Lnading page. If you were going for a perfect example of the #1 conversion killer, you nailed it.

What's this #1 conversion killer I'm referring to?

                Lack of clarity!

Take a look at your page, there is not a single word that tells users what you are selling. Just a vague reference to a solution for dark circles, puffiness, and wrinkles around the eyes. Who would want dark circles, puffiness, and wrinkles around the eyes anyway?

                Oh... wait...

you're not offering a solution to get those things?

You are offering a solution to get rid of them?

Well,,, why didn't you tell folks it's a solution to get rid of those unwanted things. It would have taken just an extra word or two to make it clear that it is to get "rid" of "unwanted" dark circles.

No where in you copy is it made made clear which type of solution is offered, it seems that you are assuming, that your visitors would just assume that it is preventor, not a provider, of dark circles. Heck, I could potentially infer that you are selling makeup, or even an art supplies for sketch artists that want to draw dark circles under the eyes of subjects in their sketches.

The point is that nothing is made explicit, nothing is specifically expressed, not even the "solution" is clear what it solves. Is it helping you get dark circles, or helping get rid of dark circles? Why make people guess? Was that intentional?

Even if you made it clear what the "solution" solves, your audience still has no clue as to what you are offering. Is it a pamphlet? makeup? facial creme? vitamins? herbs? a special diet? a sleeping mask? a visit to a beauty spa?

Ambiguity leads to indecision, indecision prevents action. Your landing page is the perfect example of a conversion killing landing page.

It probably sounds like a lot of work (trust me, it's not), but you should probably build a landing page (email capture page) and build an email list FIRST. I used to bang my head against the wall for YEARS wondering why my informational products never sold. These days, I NEVER launch an informational product without an email list. It just makes things so much easier...it truly does.
