Hi guys, so today i set up a few facebook campaigns.

the first one is an insurance offer with a landing page.

the second campaign i'm running is a gaming offer (direct linking)

i'm payng $0.73 usd per click, but the gaming offer only pays $1.60, and the auto insurance comparision offer pays $4.00 They both convert on the first page.

now, my question to you is: how the hell do i make a profit? everyone seems to recommend gaming offers for facebook, but i can't see how i can make a profit? i would need like a 50% conversion rate.

Getting any offer or site approved is not a problem, so i would like to know what verticals you would recommend? or if you could tell me how gaming offers can be promoted effectively on facebook?

the only way i could see this happening (correct me if im wrong) would be by split testing a HUGE amount of ads untill i reach an insane ctr using their CPM model?

UPDATE: 20-05-2015

1st Campaign:

After Split testing the image of my ad i've found one with some pretty good engagement. i'm using sidebar ads btw. In the comming days i am going to be split testing it with cpm, and a landing page.

Result: No Conversions So Far.

CTR: 0.3% - Relevance Score: 8/10 - 10 Website Clicks - Max Bid $0.64 CPC
I know the data is not much, but it out performs my other ads by ALOT. I am, however, going to let them all run for a few more days to be sure. No conversions on this campaign so far.

2nd Campagin:

My second campaign made a single conversion today, but i realized that my targeting is pretty crap, so i'm gonna change that today, i am also gonna be split testing about 10 images.

Result: 1 Conversion So Far.

CTR: 0.15% - Relevance Score: 7/10 - 12 Website Clicks - Max Bid $0.64 CPC
LP CTR: 58% - Conversions - 1 - Clicks 12
For tracking i'm using prosper202 and crazy egg.

I am going to be posting on this thread as often as i can, probably everyday, so stay tuned!

if there is anything you would like me to add or include in this journey thread please do not hesitate to ask!

thank you!

Glad to see you're giving things a shot! One thing is that Facebook ads can be pretty expensive. Same goes with Adsense. Those are 2 of the most popular ad networks so you're gonna have more people competing and more cost per click.

Hopefully you get some conversions, otherwise you might wanna look at setting up campaigns on smaller networks where you might be able to cut that CPC in half. Consider Media.net, Clicksor, 7Search, or Bidvertiser.

Not by promoting an offer that pays out $1.60 getting 0.73 clicks

Of course it's possible, just not very likely.

    I would recommend:

    A) Look for a gaming offer with a higher payout
    B) Get more targeted and lower clicks
    C) Combo of both above
