I would be Interesting to hear other people's advertising strategies and how they've changed them since last year.

I've started running native ads on Facebook with a lot of success.

Basically i disguise my advert as content, I then link the advert to a content page with a very soft opt in at the bottom of the page.

I'm getting fewer opt ins but much higher quality signups.

Anyone else got any interesting advertising strategies that they using at the moment??

This pretty much what a lot of the discussion was about at the Digitalmarketer's T&C2015 summit.

Sending traffic to content pages and then not even necessarily trying to get an opt-in although there can be lead magnets or tripwire offers to get interested people to take action.

The biggest addition to your strategy would be to add retargeting pixels to your content pages so you can go back and retarget in Facebook or Adwords or via Adroll etc.

This is similar to the current strategy that I'm currently doing. I'm creating some informative blog posts with my affiliate links and opt-in forms and post them on my Fan page. Then I run a PPE campaign on Facebook to drive some traffic. The result is low CPC and good conversions. But I'm really after their email addresses so I can send them more promotional offers.
