Facebook ads targeting question

I'm going to launch my first FB ad campaign, I have learned a lot over the past week, but I still have a question about targeting.
If I target people based on their likes, how does it work?
eg: I target people who like a FB page about Ford and a FB page about Dogs
Does my audience exist of people who like Ford AND dogs, or of people who like Ford OR dogs?

Thank you for your help!

When you're doing particularly Facebook page likes campaign you can target those people who have liked the pages of your competitors. So you firstly need to do a reasearch on who are your main competitors and then set in om Facebook campaign. Those people who have liked your competitors will see your ads as well.

If you target the 2 audiences in the same ad set, you will get an OR, not an AND.

Maybe what you need to do is one ad set targeting Ford and another ad set targeting dogs.

If you want an AND it is not possible unless you are doing teespring, they have a special addon that allows to do AND.

I believe it is AND. Don't think they offer OR logic. However, there are many layers of targeting that you can add on (like behaviors, demographics) that can help you more accurately target these folks.

It's actually pretty easy to see that it's OR not AND because when you do your targeting settings, with every new interest category you add the potential reach gets bigger not smaller.

Test for both, that's the best way to find out. Spend little as $5 to find out what is working, you can even track links to know precisely

The key is testing, why not test with as low as $5 and see if it works out.

You will get Ford OR dogs. You need to create one ad set per interest to make it more effective. Also, it would be hard to know if conversions is coming from Ford or dogs if they all sit in one ad set.
