Facebook Ads How to Target offline "Local Businesses"

I want to set up a Facebook ad that targets offline businesses in my city.
This is in Canada (if it makes any difference).

Problem I'm having is narrowing the target audience to local businesses /business owners.

When I choose my city under the 'Locations,' then I cannot narrow that audience further using 'Detailed Targeting'.

When I add options in 'Detailed Targeting' it expands my audience.

Is there a way to narrow the audience to Local Businesses?

What methods are you using to target local offline businesses?

Thanks for taking time to answer my inquiry!

      Hi RMD,

Facebook's Local Awareness ads only allow targeting all users withing a defined location. They do not allow you to target specific individuals for local awareness ads. They claim it is for privacy reasons. See this page for more details:

The best way I have found to target businesses with local awareness ads it to use images and ad text that is likely to only attract clicks from businesses. In other words, use the content of your ad to narrow the audience engagement to your narrowly defined market segment.

Try phrases like "Exclusive for Business Owners" , "Small Business Special", "Exclusive Offer For Business Owners", and similar.

You can use proxies to target different locations.
You have to get a facebook bot for having large amount of views automatically.

Would you give more detail on how that works?
