I have 3 questions to ask regarding Facebook pay per click.

1) I plan on charging a flat management fee to tm client that I'm about to run a campaign for and I'm going to send a invoice over and get paid for that before I start anything. My questions is how do you collect the money for there daily ad budget? Do they just set the budget in ads manager and have their paypal account attatched to it? Do you get there money upfront for the month? What if they don't have a PayPal account?

2) I'm running ads for a contractor to generate leads for home improvement. Do you think it would be better to use a lead magnet like give away a free buyers guide in exchange for there info or just lead them strait to a page where they can opt in for a phone call?

3) do you think Adwords or Facebook would work better in the construction industry?

    Hi NeedLeads,

In my opinion, better to have the client pay the ad spend bill directly to the ad platform, It's simpler that way, and you don't have to play the role of bill collector.

I think it best to go straight for a quote request form on the landing page, or a phone call to a phone tracking service. Your client likely wants leads, not mailing list subscribers. You might consider a lead magnet offer with an exit intent popup.

AdWords will probably be the best, as you can laser target relevant search traffic. You can use Remarketing to continue advertising campaigns retargeting users that don't convert on the first visit.

That's just my opinion, based on 14 years of lead generation campaign management. It's also my opinion that you should test your options and let the data tell you the true answer.

    Hi NeedLeads,

I am trying answer your first question. From my experience, FB Ads will require you to have your Credit Card info key in. Then they will automatically bill to the credit card and send you the invoice at each month end.

  • Never pay for the clicks yourself. Your job is to manage the campaign, not pay for it. You're setting up yourself with potential trouble and headaches if you pay for the clicks. Think also if you had dozens of clients and needing to pay thousands of dollars each month.

Search is always best and of the highest quality since you know people are looking for you. An ad network such as Facebook is "interrupt marketing" and you are hoping that some are in need of a contractor at that moment. Google has a vast content network. It may work well to target sites related to your offer, there's plenty of home improvement sites out there. Yelp is a good place too since people will go there to find contractors and you can place your Adwords ads there.
