Advice on Bing Ads & Affiliate Marketing

Hey everyone!

This is my first post on Warrior Forum, and I was kind of reluctant to post on here and instead try and figure out this whole thing on my own, but I thought it would be good to ask for some advice and maybe jumpstart my marketing campaign.

So yesterday, I started my first Bing Ads campaign which was promoting an affiliate marketing product. SOMEONE PLEASE TELL ME IF THIS IS A BAD IDEA / IM DOING THE WRONG THING I would like to know before I get to deep into this.

But so far, I've made only a $5 a day budget on some bing ads linking to my affiliate clickbank link for a product "5FigureDay" most of you probably know.

Here is a quick image that shows my ads under my ad group for the campaign running 5figureday affiliate ads.

I've only been running this for a day, and already edited some of my titles to the one receiving the most clicks. But still I'm getting a low CTR.

Here are the keywords I am using for all my ads:

Now, I know most of you who have done this for a while might look at this and point out a lot of things I'm doing wrong and that's the main reason I wanted to post here, is to learn from the stuff I'm doing wrong.

Thanks for the help and assistance, I'm really starting to like this forum!

    Hi
I don't promote this niche so can't advise you on this but obviously your ads need a lot of work as your CTR is very low.
there is no exact science with PPC just throw some relevant ads out there and see which ones work and get clicks, pause the others and add others to try and beat your best ad, that's it.
Do u use ad extensions which generally gives your CTR an uplift as searchers tend to click more on ADS with ad extensions ( that's site links and callout extensions ).
Also you are not using dynamic keyword insertion ( DKI ) which also helps your CTR so to increase your CTR try the following

Use ad extensions ( site links and callouts )
    Create relevant ADS
    Start using DKI
    Hope this helps

The reason why you are getting a low CTR is partly because you are bidding on broad match. Unlike exact or phrase match which only shows your ad if a search includes the entire phrase, when you bid on broad match, your ads show for searches that are related to your keyword, so it lowers the CTR.

You can see that the ad with the title 'Make Fast Money Now!' has had by far the most impressions because you are bidding on the keyword 'Make Fast Money'. If you include other keywords that you are bidding on in your ad title for other ads, you will increase the number of impressions your ads receive.

There is nothing wrong with bidding broad though. You just need to keep a close look on your dimensions tab and constantly add negative keywords to your list.

Going broad can be a great way of finding keywords you might have otherwise overlooked. It does take more money to test that way though and you have to have a higher pain tolerance.

  • I'm not going to say your CTR is hi or low because there is not enough information. We don't know the average ad position unless it's that last figure on the right but I don't know since you don't provide headings. We don't know if you are using display or search partners. We don't know your QS but my guess is that it's low, likely below five.

Nothing wrong with using broad match but I would use the broad match modified version instead and use phrase and exact matches too. Broad match is fine as long as it defines precisely your offer.

Your ads will likely be disapproved. They fall under the misleading and unreasonable expectation category. Your landing page likely uses the same language and that's going to get your campaign disapproved.

You are mixing concepts and themes with your keywords. Split them up into different groups. You seem to have only one group. Have a logical group name instead of "ad group 1" and "ad group 2", it will make it easier on you.

The ad copy as mentioned might land you a slap which is normally not that bad with Bingads. I'd try and tone down the copy a little.

People already talked about the broad keywords and that being a lead indicator as to why your CTR is so low. You can always start another campaign with just the broad keywords and see what search terms people are using that click on your ad.

Another thing you can do is bid Broad Match Modified on the broad keywords. This while require all those words to be somewhere in the search query.

Firstly, I would recommend that you turn off content bids and also mobile devices. Clicks on those carry a much lower conversion rate than Search and desktop traffic.

Also, you have some very generic keywords such as "get fast money" and "email list free". The CTR is bound to be lower with these keywords. Even if you get clicks, the conversion rate would be low.
