PPC and email/zip submit offers - Is it viable?

First of all, what's up guys. I'm new here and doing the best I can at taking in the plethora of information I've seen around here.
I want to get started with IM. I have signed up with CPAGrip, and see that they have multiple email submit offers for $1.20-$1.60 per lead.
However, with the payouts and average Network EPC's, it seems like I would almost always be losing money buying PPC ads.
Everything I've read about Bing Ads says that you'll typically get a CPC of around $0.07-$0.10. Now, almost every single one of these email submit offers have an EPC of about $0.05-$0.07.....
How would this ever earn money? Maybe I'm missing something. I have seen a lot of people posting about their success advertising these types of offers through Bing Ads.
Any help or guidance is appreciated, thanks!
PS: On CPAGrip, in the USA I'm only seeing 8 offers and they're all email submits. Is this normal? They really don't have any other offers?..
