Hi guys,
I have now lots of keywords in my Bing ads campigns with no impressions after a couple of months due to low search volume, are these keywords affecting my CPC and quality scores and should they be paused ?

Or are they having no negitive effects and just leave them ?

Cheers James

    Dear Jim

When doing PPC you need to Track Keywords.

When you start getting conversions and learn which keywords convert then Optimise the Second Campaign for those Keywords. Keywords that do not give you clicks or those that give you clicks and no conversions should then be shut down.

    Thank You

Yes you should pause them, a lot of people make the mistake of deleting them in a given campaign and this is not good for accurately measuring results.

If you have high impressions and no clicks it would drive up CPC, but your no impressions won't affect it.

Pause these keywords, find more high volume ones using bing built in keyword tool or google planner!

Thanks for the reply just out of interest my question was should I pause low search keywords that have gotten no impressions in 2 months and are these keywords in anyway having a neg effect on the campaigns performance ?

So are they in anyway having a neg effect on the campaign itself if so could someone explain as I`m trying to learn as much about PCC as possible or is it just a case that these keywords are dead wood and just need pausing to tidy up the campaign keeping it lean and mean ?

      Cheers

Yes, i agree with you. Finding high volume keywords will bring an opportinuty to see increase in conversions. There are no negative effective of low searched keywords, but it is good to get such keywords paused and increase the bid value of top performing keywords if they are not in top 4.

I personally just keep raising the bids (slightly).

If I'm not even getting any impressions after some time...

I delete them (for OCD reasons)

I always pause them, I feel like it is in the best interest of the quality score.

If they aren't generating me traffic, why risk it. Good question btw!

      Hi
I agree with all the replies here apart from pausing your low search volume keywords. Active keywords can chg to low search volume but low search volume keywords can chg to become active if searchers start searching for that LSW keyword thus if you pause you will miss out if this happens. In my PPC experience I always leave LSW keywords active and they have no adverse effect on Quality Score. It's a personal preference to pause but I wouldn't
      Only my opinion
      Good luck
