Writing good copy for landing page

Hello, I along with my wife run an animation studio for promotional and explainer videos, so far we've been selling on fiverr and upwork.

We want to start selling directly to clients so I built a landing page on instapages and will run an adwords campaing for it.

Despite being used to write video scripts I am not sure if I am writing a good copy for my landing page, so I want to ask for your review.

You can find it here: growanimationstudios.instapage.com

Also, do you think I have a good chance on selling this using adwords? I need a cost per conversion lower than $35.

Any help is appreciated.

Best regards,

Cláudio Augusto

  • Hi Claudio.

Video and text may be somewhat different, although I really don't think so, but if you already make scripts for the videos, powerful words that help create videos that sell, then simply apply that to your site. I think you have the right idea from what I see so keep improving on it. Try to find better ways to say what you do. Sometimes just a word or two change conversions dramatically.

You may not be done with the site but the quote button does nothing. Watch out for grammar.

I assume this service typically costs hundreds of dollars, sometimes into the thousands. Why use Fiverr? Has it worked for you? What about Upwork? I'm getting sick of Upwork myself for many reasons, eLance was much better.

As a PPC professional, I think almost anything can be promoted and sold with Adwords and other ad networks. It just has to be done in an effective way. It's not as simple as one might think or even as Google may make it out to be by saying advertise within five minutes. Contact me if you want help with that.

My prices are not so high, my rate is $350 per minute with professional voice, script writing and music.

We don't use templates but the videos are library based so we don't design the characters, what makes the process much faster. I started selling this videos on Fiverr and I have a big reputation there. It is my main source of clients.

The thing is, can I get clients using adwords at a cheaper price than fiverr? For a 1 minute video they take around $50.

I am just starting out on adwords, If I can reach a cost per conversion lower than $35 I might quit fiverr.

  • Yeah, you're not giving away a $350 video for $5. You're just basically using Fiverr as an advertising platform. If it's successful for you, I would not quit it.

Your cost per conversion with Adwords will depend on many things. One is the going rate for the keywords. Explainer video is in the $10+ range. That's to get ads at the top of the page for an average quality. Better quality will reduce that. Already you may be thinking that's too high. Then your page has to do a good job at converting those visitors. I think it can do well but could do better, just need to test different angles. But even if you pay $5 per click and have a 10% conversion rate, that's more than the $35 you want to spend.

The keyword "animation maker" is much cheaper but I don't think that's really what you do from your explanation. Promotional video maybe?
