Hi all

So im my adwords campigns, i tend to have the most impressions with TV Lovers. I get about a 1.50% view rate. This same group is visiting my website the most through my analytics so i figured wanted to target them

However, after comparing them to other groups with 3-8% view rate, im wondering if TV LOVERS is considered a low quality group? Anyone else have these results?

    Hi Darrel,

View rates alone do not tell you the whole story. You should also consider value per view, cost per view, and the total number of views available with a positive ROAS.

First you must identify the primary objective of your campaign. Is it to get more views? Or, more website visitors?, Or, more conversions? Or increase brand awareness?

Knowing your primary objective we can better advise you on your next steps?.

If, for example, your goal is more conversions and your ideal target audience is highly concentration within TV Lovers interest group then it might be a good place to start regardless of view rate.

Having said that, the TV Lovers interest group is probably too broad for most effective campaigns. That does not mean you should avoid using it. You probably should use it in combination with other targeting methods to narrow the audience to an even more specific segments within that interest group.

Chances are good that some of the smaller segments within the TV Lovers interest group will have higher view rates, or higher conversion rates or higher value per view, etc.

The key to successful marketing is segmentation. Segment your audience, and tailor your creatives to the specific audience. Optimize your campaign's performance by increasing ad spend in your most profitable segments and decrease ad spend in your least profitable segments.
