  • Like Google Adwords, Bing Ads has a variety of ad extensions. The one used by the advertiser in your screenshot are sitelink extensions.

Like any tool, it has to be used properly. I've seen some just throw everything in without rhyme or reason just to use up more screen real estate. But this can actually hurt and reduce your results if not used properly.

For instance, I've seen sitelinks going to the About Us page and that adds no value to the ad. I've also seen sitelinks when searching for say a refrigerator and showing links for stoves and sofas and other things the advertiser sells. I think that is a poor use of sitelinks that probably hurts more than it helps even though the advertiser uses up more screen space. It certainly doesn't add value to the actual search.

Another is the call extension (phone number), good for local advertisers or national ones where toll-free numbers work best or where a high percentage of people search on their mobiles.

The callout extension is good and also has to be used logically and add value to the main ad. The location extension (address) should be used by local advertisers.
