Help coming up with a plan for learning AdWords.

Hello,

I'm trying to start a freelance writing business. I want to learn ad words for a variety of reasons.

I've got a decent list of keywords. However, I'm really starting from Ground Zero. I don't know much about the topic. I'm having difficulty figuring out what part of AdWords I should tackle next.

If I could break it down into smaller steps, I could learn it much more efficiently.

Any ideas on how I should go about breaking it down into a manageable process?

    you can subscribe to google adwords in you-tube thy have a lot to study .

    Google actually have staff that can call you and work through the process. When you spend quite a bit on there they regularly contact you and provide support and check you are optimising your spend and I am assuming they would have the same offer for people who are new to the platform. While it is fairly simple to use, there are plenty of areas on Google Adwords that the staff can assist with to ensure you are getting the best bang for your buck. There are also tons of tutorials online if you have a bit of a search, I am self taught however if I would have known a few elements earlier it would have saved me a lot of time and testing.     I would definitely check Google's very own exam material. They have loads of video and text content!

    Thank you to everyone for the great info. I forgot that Google has its own certifications. I guess I got used to just having me producer of a product provide crappy service and if you really want to learn to use a product you have to go elsewhere that I forgot to check what Google has to offer.


    I will definitely try to pass the exam. And go from there. I will also give Bing a chance.

    Google adwords & Bing contextual advertising has massive competition in the matter of writing. Better get clients at freelancer, upwork, guru and fiverr if you're a newbie.

      but these sites also have fierce competition. the competition is global and some guys are happy working for bare peanuts!

    There are several free courses online as mentioned. Google does a good job on their own.

    I made it through all the videos on the YouTube channel. And I've set up the bare-bones for my first campaign.


    I am starting out as a freelance writer/content marketer. So, those are the clients I am trying to attract. I'm trying to go after longtail keywords that indicate someone is ready to take action as opposed to merely searching for info on freelancers.

    Here is a list of keywords I've come up with:
    freelance marketer, freelance writer, content marketer, social media marketer, Hire freelance writer, hire freelance marketer, blog writer, freelance writing service, freelance marketing service, content marketing service, marketing Specialist, content marketing specialist, freelance marketing rates, freelance writing rates

    Thank you in advance for the help. I know this is a fairly elementary question. But, I have looked at different free keyword tools, and I just want to make sure I'm moving in the right direction before I jump in.

    there are a lot of tutorial videos on youtube they can help you learn the stuff better than any text guide can. Subscribe to the official channels for the most authentic stuff
