Him guys,
Just a quick one, In prosper202 I`m getting the 4 different types of match type for example I set the search query to include `{matchtype}` so the results I get back are obviously..

Keyword e
Keyword p

But I`ve been getting conversions on just the `keyword` without the `e or p`
So what is that ?

Also ` {KeyWord}-{matchtype}` is showing as getting clicks whats this?

Cheers

    Hi jimkirk1943,

There are a couple of reasons that you might not be seeing your dynamically inserted match type data not show in reports.

    1. You could have one of more URLs where the {matchtype} insertion code is not properly implemented (typo, or just missing).
    2. Traffic that originates from sources that do not trigger impressions based keywords. (i.e. audience targeting)

The "{KeyWord}-{matchtype}" showing in report data signals a malformed URL, or a bug within your prosper202 software.

    HTH,

      HTH,
      Hi dburk
Ok your info on `{KeyWord}-{matchtype}` showing up in my keywords reports makes sense thanks !

But what about the other match type showing for example I have obviously added {matchtype} to my query string and for my keywords I have just used `Exact` & `Phase`.

So in my keyword results I`ve got

      Blue Widget `e` 5 conversions
      Blue Widget `p` 3 conversions
      Blue Widget 3 conversions

So obviously we have conversions for `exact & phase` shown by the `e &p` next to the keyword but what is the keyword with no match type symbol representing?

The only thing I can think of is that its a off spring of the phase match something like `Blue Widget.net` but thats just a guess and doesnt really make much sense as I actually have that keyword showing in my results without a conversion showning along side.

Anyway any info would be great

    Hi jimkirk1943,

Are your ads targeting anything other than Search? Maybe Search with Display? How about Remarketing campaigns? Display or Video ads? Those will all not have keyword match types.

The only other thing I can think of is check to see if you have manual override of auto-tagging enabled. If so you might have some ad sources that are overriding the UTM tags.

Yeah you`ve nailed it dburk I am targeting..

`All search networks (Bing, AOL, and Yahoo search and syndicated search partners) `

Thats where its coming from !

I have actually been thinking about creating 2 identical campaigns one targeting just `search` and the other campaign using the same keywords and ads just targeting `syndicated search partners only` can you see any problems or reasons why I shouldnt ?

      Thanks again

    Hi jimkirk1943,

Yes, you should definitely do that so that you can optimize your bids based on the value per click that you get from each network.

      Hi dburk,
Ok thanks for that advice so is it ok just to go into my settings and switch the current campaign from.. All search networks (Bing, AOL, and Yahoo search and syndicated search partners) `To` Bing, AOL, and Yahoo search (owned and operated) only ? Nothing I should know about ??

And the campaign I create for Bing, AOL, and Yahoo syndicated search partners only should this be a new campaign or ad group as I will be targeting the same ads, keywordsI dont want to start bidding against myself

Cheers for all your helpful advice

    Hi jimkirk1943,

The great thing about the top tier ad platforms is that they allow you to optimize your campaigns by making changes on the fly. That is something that not all ad platforms allow, or make easy to do.

One tip I will offer is to make sure that you take contemporaneous notes anytime that you make a significant change to a campaign. I always like to add notes to Google Analytics using their Annotation feature.
