Learning about Facebook ads

Hello,

I am a beginner in IM and my first real go at it is a T-Shirt store in the dog niche. I have had 2 shirts (different breeds) designed and I have targeted groups that are connected to those breeds using PPE as the campaign goal.

The results so far are discouraging as I have made no sales and got a low number of reactions to the post (25 likes for $10 spent).

I realize that learning about FB ads takes trial and error but I would appreciate any tips and pointers like what and where to study.

Thank you.

You have to define your goal first. Boost post and page likes are mostly for branding. So if you are expecting sales from these ads, it is little bit difficult. Facebook has many types of campaigns and you have to go by objectives because facebook algorithm is pretty smart at identifying similar audience which converts. So a little more budget and a bit of more time might help. Let me know if you have any specific objective so I can suggest more in detail.

Since Facebook ad is social, whenever someone likes a page, that specific page will appear on their news feed and their friends might also see the news about the actions you have taken on that Facebook ad. The idea is already there. For you to have a good sale, try to create your own page. Make sure that your product has a class that will make people tag it as a favorite and in order to promote the product, learn to add more friends, ask them to like your page and to share it as well. This will happen if you're good in convincing and if somebody appreciates the content. They will be one to encourage other people to buy it. So it is a must to know how to promote and also how to handle relationships with other people.

  • For me, Facebook ads work depending on your target audience. Targeted audience will boost your sales even more and they can be also a source of advertising. Make sure that your ad is catchy, interesting, and has relevance to your content. Have a call to action button always available too.

Nice suggestions, if you have a quality post that you want to promote why not use a page post engagement ad that will allow you to boost your post. This is also good with Advanced Facebook Advertising Tool that will provide you more targeting options and boost your post.

If you do advertise, go beyond the basics.
Conversion Tracking: Track the actions of site visitors after viewing your Facebook ad.
Custom Audiences: Target Facebook ads based on your email list.
Lookalike Audiences: Target Facebook users similar to your customers.
Audience Insights: Learn about your existing Facebook audience to better target your ads.
Website Custom Audiences: Target Facebook users who have visited your website before.
Facebook Exchange: Place retargeted ads on Facebook for users who’ve visited a certain product or service page on your site.
Lots and Lots of Customizable Reporting: Create reports based on metrics that matter most for your business.
