Hey guys!

I tried to deal with this myself but I couldn't so I decided to ask you guys for guidance!

So basically I'm doing Affiliate Marketing and I'm in Amazon FBA niche. I managed to get some emails with free traffic generation, made some sales and I want to scale things up. So I went to try FB ads. I thought I'd start building my FB fan page and get some likes. But the problem is my like cost somwhere from 0,80$ to 1,30$. And don't get me wrong I'm not completely an idiot I had couple of ads where one like used to cost me 10cents. But right now I'm a bit pissed. I can't pay that much and I don't think it makes any sense either. I tried targeting ebay sellers, people who is interested in online selling, e commerce and so on. And nothing... It's still expensive as hell. Any advice guys? What could I improve? What could I do? Should I use something else to get leads?

Thank you!

Surely the cost depends on the niche?

When you say your clicks used to be $0.10, was that for the same niche as what you are trying to advertise now?

I don't know about FB ads, but on Adwords and Bing, $1/click prices are very common for many keywords and obviously it makes pointless advertising in certain niches, depending on what you are promoting.

Hey, thanks for replying. 0,10$ click was from different niches. And yes I agree with you that price depends on niche but FB ads for page likes are usually pretty cheap.

So when you say you are "in the FBA niche" it sounds like you are not selling physical products via FBA, is that correct?

Facebook updated their ads networks a couple of months ago. This raised the prices for likes/clicks/actions up for everyone across all niches. I came back to check on my ads after this update, and where I was getting 0.17 -0.28 clicks, I was now paying $1.40-$1.75 per engagement, using the same targeting options. Changing these options does little to help, since now the lower cpc I can get is about 0.75, which for me is still pretty high. So, Bing ads, is my main ppc source now.

I understand CPC at 0.75 when you advertise a website or a landing page, it's very realistic, but likes usually are way cheaper so yeah...

I've noticed it's much more costly to likes or website clicks from Facebook. I had no idea they made a change. I recently spent over $13 for 6 website clicks for a non-profit. Likes were running me over $1 as well. Which, to me, isn't worth it. I did however get likes for under .01 from overseas, then did a very small campaign targeting the US and now I get a few likes each day organically.

I've never tried Bing ads, but I'm going to give it a shot.

Ok, so I guess I'm not the problem.. So basically bing is the only way to go? Anything else? How about 7search? Does anyone have some feedback on it?

  • Yes Pankaj, most of us know what PPC stands for and what it is. You don't need to resurrect weeks old posts and waste our time with the same post that provides absolutely no value to the discussion just to drive up your post count. If you have something of value to say, please do so. That goes for any newbie in here.
