    Hi Mordechai,

I see CPC spikes all the time.

Search advertising is highly competitive. Search ad positions are sold in a real-time auction, your competitors determine the CPC you must pay when they set their maximum bids.

As more and more of your competitors learn how to accurately measure and maximize the value of a click, the higher the CPC bids will go.

Every time a new competitive advertiser enters the auction that you compete in at least one advertiser is pushed out of their ad slot position. Often a bidding war breaks out until at least one advertisers drops out of the auction, or gives up trying to compete for top ad slots.

As competition levels increase you must use more sophisticated marketing strategies to keep up, else you will be the one that gets pushed out of the competition.

If you have a seasonal product or service, it is a normal behavior. Some advertisers lower their bids or completely stop their campaigns during off seasons.
