I may have chosen the wrong niche...

Hi guys,

Just wondered if you would advise me on something. I have created a website for the marvel, horror and sci fi niche. I do a post a day and so far its been up for almost a month.

Its monetized with adsense and recently 1 amazon affiliate link.

Of course i didnt do much research and it looks as though my earnings may be terrible. This isnt so bad as i started the blog out of genuinne interest for the subject and monetizing was just a bonus.

Average day so far i get 5 to 10 organic views. If i do social media after a post i can get 80 to 250 visitors depending on the post. Mainly from reddit.

My best day on adsense so far is....2pence. I dont know what that is in $...maybe 2.5 cents

What would your advice be? Of course the traffic is poor so far. I did get a click for 40p yesterday which was nice however it soon disappeared off the report. Invalid for some reason i guess.

      Hi.
      Maybe shouldnt have termed it as such. Monetizing was an after thought. I picked that topic because of my interest in it.

      Just looking for advice on how to maximize the little that i would get from a low paying niche such as entertainment and games ads

        Okay so try new keywords,
        use adsense, SEO..

        See what works and what not.

        Get to know your audience and of course
        you need to write new content at least
        couple times a week.

    As for advice on improving the traffic of the blog:

    1. Promote your blog on more social media platform,
    2. Participate on popular forums relevant to your blog using your blog url as signature
    3. Optimize the blog for seo to increase the organic traffic you get, this include using keywords appropraitely, writing quality blog posts,
    4. Network with other bloggers in your niche

    The more traffic you get, the higher your adsense earning. You can also increase the affiliate link and use other methods of blog monetization .
