Options For Call Tracking With Local Numbers

I want to implement call conversion tracking using local phone numbers; meaning that if my real phone number is 344-999-2323, the phone number displayed to the user is 344-XXX-XXXX.
I set up call tracking with adwords, however it is rendering 1-800 type of numbers. Unfortunately this does not work for a local service business as many customers see the 1-800 style adwords number and think "oh no they are a big corporation, price will be too high, not personable... not for me".
What are my options to set up call tracking with a local number?
