I've gotten started on Bing Ads recently and I done a decent amount of testing. I've mananged to get my CPC in two campaigns from 0.70 to ~0.40 but I want to go much lower (obviously). My CTR is between 4-7%.

Any tips or strategies to get my avg CPC lower? I keep seeing all these people online talk about how easy it is to get sub-10 cent CPC but I don't know how to achieve that with keywords actually worth a darn

    Hi mjoet3324,

You may have a disease that I call CPC Myopia.

The problem I see with your approach is that focusing myopically on CPC causes you to ignore the far more important metric of value per click.

Would you rather have 50 clicks with a value per click of $7 and CPC of $0.70, or 100 clicks with a value per click of $0.08 at a CPC of $0.10?

Lower CPC often leads to lower profits, or even losses.

Don't get hung up on CPC, instead focus on value per click and purchase every possible click you can get for a CPC below the true value per click on a keyword-by-keyword basis. That is how you maximize profits.

    HTH,

    Don Burk

What did u do to lower to .40?? & y can not you use the same approach to lower them much.

Not every keyword Wud come down to 10cents. Not matter what you read abt those. If you've bought a course that promised 10cents, just ask the author to help you get there Or check out the niche & product they are using. It all depends on the offer, niche & the way they calculate, etc.,

Also, jfyi ... bdurk's point is about Value per CLICK, not on value per Keyword.

It is all about Quality Score. If you manage to increase your QS, then your CPC will drop. Study QS a little more to see which factors are important, then work to improve them.

Group matching keywords in a different ad group with a matching landing page and Ad. Also your CPC should not be the most important but you cost per lead or sale, whatever goal you are tracking.
