Free Bing PPC tracking platform

Why not use the Bing Ads EUT tracking feature? EUT (Universal Event Tracking) is built-in, free, and it gets you data into the Bing Ads system for easy automation setup.


Additionally, I suggest that you implement the Bing Ads UET tag via Google Tag Manager, also free, and then add Google Analytics to get a lot of additional user behavior data, and cross channel tracking as well.

I understand, I work with Affiliate marketers too, so I know exactly what you are talking about.

You will still want to do this if you are using custom landing pages, and you really shoud consider using custom landing pages for a number of reasons, not the least is gaining the marketing data needed to improve your campaign performance.

If you are simply direct linking to offers then you are at a huge disadvantage using Bing Ads as they currently offer no ability to import conversion data into the Bing Ads platform as do other platforms like Google AdWords.

Due to the lack of conversion data import capabilities in Bing Ads you may be forced to use an external conversion tracking system and then compare and manually adjust bids, or opt for an expensive 3rd party bid management system (something affiliate marketers often cannot afford).

You need to check with the specific affiliate platforms you are utilizing to learn which options are available to you. There are some affiliate platforms that will allow you to place a conversion tracking tag, so you might be able to add one or more combinations of GTM, UET, and Google Analytics tags. However, many affiliate programs do not even offer these common options.

Most affiliate programs will at the very least provide sub id tracking parameter options that you can use to capture important conversion data, how you set this up will vary from one platform to another. You can use the Dynamic Text feature in Bing Ads to dynamically build your sub id parameters to include data on campaigns, ad groups, keywords, search terms, and ad ids.

Your affiliate program's data reports with the sub id information will provide you with the essential data you need to perform campaign optimizations manually, or can be imported into a more expensive bid management apps, or used to roll your own custom bid management via APIs. If you are small trying to save on expenses you can analyse and adjust manually, if you have the cash flow you may want to consider automating it with Bid Management software.
