Minimum affiliate commission?

What's the minimum affiliate commission you would consider running a PPC campaign for? $10? $20? $30 or more?

Is setting up an email landing page/follow up sequence the only option or do you sometimes promote direct sales without capturing email addresses?

There are many variables to answer your question ... To begin with .. What's the vertical? Which ppc platforms are we talking abt (Bing / Google / FB etc.,)? Is the offer recurring? What is the Conversion criteria? ....
Regd direct vs indirect ... I incline more towards direct promotion if it is a vertical where I cannot provide / do not need follow ups or if the sales page is already good enough & I cannot make any better than what is available ... etc., (Many of us feel that capturing Email is the right way & I do not disagree at all). Split testing can also prove the need for a new capture page or not.
    Jst my 2cents ...

So you're saying that you'd promote an affiliate offer that pays $1 using PPC?

May be or May be not. Per me... it depends on the offer , platform & conversion possibility.
The lowest offer I promote has a payout of 3$ while the avg cpc was around 0.50$. It converted pretty well for a while. So did not loose money. The highest I did on Bing was for 75$ payout which has got 6-10$ (Sometimes more) as the CPC & Direct campaign in both cases.
If it's for a newbie, the sweet spot could be around 30$, but not for a financial vertical or Legal verticals or any offer whose avg cpc is not too high. The CpC is higher on these & could burn the ad spend pretty quick without conversions.
My formula is to consider the avg cpc & avg conversions. If you have an Excellent product which is offering 1$ trial, but cpc is not cheap as 0.05$ ... I would factor the possibility if conversions after a follow up sequence.
BingAds are no more cheaper as 0.05s (not native ads), FB is also getting costlier ... so I would definetly consider these factors before I could say, I would promote 1$ (Also considering recurrent commissions) payout or not ....

I will second Laksh here - there are many factors that need to be considered.

I personally only do CPL products not pay per sale, as that way I have a total control of what I am doing. Also I don't promote products that pay less than £30 per lead, but that's only because I've chosen to specialise in finance niches. They are more competitive but there are also a lot of money to be made there.

So your answer is £30. Thank you.
