Should I give up on solo ads and stick to Bing PPC?

I've been strictly using solo ads for a while now for traffic. Some of the solos are good and some of them are crap.

Yesterday I finally setup a bing ppc campaign, and I did some tweaking and I have a keyword that has a 4.35% CTR, but i'm bidding 50 cents for a high competition keyword.

I've also been thinking when it comes to solo ads, a lot of people that join your list are probably on 32432432423
other peoples lists as well. I think getting leads from bing may convert better, and possibly have better open rates.

Should I stick with bing? Seems like the leads are probably fresh and they probably aren't on a million other lists lol.

    Your answer to this question should be determined by your results.

    If one doesn't do well for you, then you cut that one out.

    But if both methods are profitable, then there is no reason to give up either one.

    Bing can send you very high quality traffic, the only problem I find is the lack of volume in some niches. But any leads you get will be good and you'll probably have a better open rate than people who maybe on several lists already.

    Solo ads can be profitable if you're using good providers. Make sure the provider has good testimonials. If it looks like the provider is getting good opt-in rates (30% - 50% of hits) and making sales, he/she would probably be a good person to go with.

    You generally don't want to purchase solo ads from the same provider within one or two weeks because you want to be hitting different eyes all the time. Ask how often the provider is refreshing their list (i.e. building new leads).

    Check where most of your clicks are coming from. You want clicks from the top tier countries (AU, CA, GB, and US) because they get high conversion rates.

    i agree with jbuk, bing does not have enough traffic. i raised my bids to $1 in the biz op niche and still very slow to getting clicks. google awords is awesome, they have plenty of targeted traffic but very expensive.

    Are you coming out ahead?

    I use Bing a lot. I'd rather have 100 fresh un-bombarded-by-hype subscribers, then thousands of trained freebie seekers.

      First thing, you need to track and tweak your campaigns properly, and second, if it ain`t producing the results you want, figure out why, and if you can`t figure out, move to another strategy. Check out ezine marketing, it is a highly targeted audience and may give you other opportunities.

    Bing is a decent traffic source.
    Are you making money with either? If so, then stick with what you're doing if it's working.

    If you use a solo ad broker or buy from professional sellers, it's a waste of money

    Seriously. They ask for a ton of cash PER CLICK

    You're better off contacting mom and pop sites and negotiating dirt cheap deals

    Iam inclined to suggest that most would have a better chance at a higher ROI with Bing if they really worked at it. But there are still a number of Marketers I know who kick it with Solos

    I like to stick with the motto of 'Dig your own well' when it comes to traffic. This doesn't rule out using solo ads if you find a good provider. Multiple avenues of traffic are much better than using just a single source. As long as all roads lead back to you.
    .50 a lead isnt bad if it is profitable.

    My experience with Solo ads and Bing is similar, preferring Bing over Solo Ads and even Adwords. Recently, I received a notice from Google that they overcharged my Adwords account back in 2013. So check your accounts closely.

    Which one of these sources gives you sales?

    If both do then keep using both.

    However, if you're asking this question here , I'm going to guess this isn't the case.

    Both Bing and Solos (good ones that are related to your offers) convert to $$.

    But your Ad, landing page and sales page all need to be in alignment with each other.

    Also, your commissions really need to be up to par or else you will burn through your marketing budget...lickity split!

      what i meant is when it comes to solo ads alot of the leads you gain are on alot of other peoples lists. so they are probably getting a bunch of emails everyday, and it most likely lessens the chances of getting good open rates and CTR.

    i think teh most important is how the ROI.. you can continue the ads.
    But in my opinion, create your own system will be better like make your own website and monetize it using SEO or create your monetized youtube videos.It long term valuable even need more times

    Based on my personal experience, buying traffic from Bing is far better than buying traffic solo ads, but in the end, your decision has to be based on what traffic converts the best for you. My advice is to use both and measure sales conversion rates from both of them. The one making you the most money, make it your favorite...

      For sure. The big disadvantage with solo ads is that you can`t tweak it. With Bing, you can adjust your campaigns at any time.
