How can I track PPC campaigns across multiple ad networks with NO server based script?

I installed the PPC tracking script called "Prosper202" on my Hostgator servers yesterday but just found out that Hostgator doesn't allow resource intensive scripts like that on shared accounts.

NOTE: I'll be tracking PPC campaigns used to market my own products and NOT affiliate stuff. So with that in mind, I have two questions please...

1) Is there another way to track PPC campaigns across multiple ad networks that does NOT require a script on the servers or is upgrading to Hostgators $90 per month VPS plan the only alternative?

2) Is being able to track many PPC campaigns across multiple ad networks all under one "roof" the advantage the main advantage for using Prosper202? And if so, would the cheapest way to track this stuff be to just use the ad networks system?

Thank you

    Hi magentawave,

If you are not doing affiliate marketing you don't need Prosper202.

Why not use Google Analytics for this? Google analytics is free and they have a decent custom campaign tracking feature: https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/1247851

There is also services like Clicky.

Another option would be to ditch Hostgator, they are not a suitable host for websites that are doing real business online, and use any of the many other hosting options that will not only allow tracking scripts but include automatic installation for scripts like Piwik (a great open source analytics script).

Here are a few that I use and can vouch for reliable service:
    hostduplex.com
    siteground.com
    arvixe.com

Adding to this answer you can link your adwords results to Analytics and you can track specific keywords and via UTM as well, this solution should suffice

What about a service like clickmeter?

Seems that clickmeter supplies only a small subset of what the other services and software offer. They only supply campaign data for the click, you still need one of the other services to see the full picture, so it doesn't really compare to the full analytics packages already mentioned.

ClickMeter is not only an analytic tool. It is a complete suite to manage your advertising links. In that way cannot be compared to analytics services like GA.

ClickMeter (among other things) allows you to:
          - Create, delete and edit links you use in your ads
          - Mask (and encrypt) destination url (so you save your affiliate commission)
          - Track conversions (and double conversions)
          - Short urls using your domain
          - Check the quality of your links (e.g. if they are in some blacklists)
          - etc etc...
          Hi MaurizioTiberi,

ClickMeter is fine for what it does, I was just pointing out that it doesn't provide much in the way of analytics for what visitors do once they arrive at your website. Most (not all) of what they provide is already covered by free services like GA (+ your server logs), and most of what free services like GA provide are not covered by Clickmeter. They do offer a few items that are worth considering, but they tend to come at high price.

So, IMHO, it is fine to use as a supplemental analytics package, but as a replacement, it still lacks many of the essential features of free analytics programs like Google Analytics and Piwik.

Yeah, you should be able to do much better than a $99 VPS from HostGator elsewhere. There are lots of great hosting providers out there, if you don't like HG.

BTW, HG is an EIG brand... so there are lots of other companies under the EIG brand, all run in the same manner as HG... Arvixe actually just became an EIG company as well.
