If you are a newbie, start with a big list of Exact match keywords. Phrase match also does work very well, but you will have to create a big list of negatives in order to prevent unwanted traffic.

      Just FYI...

You can't use negative keywords as modifiers with Exact Match or Phrase Match keywords. Negatives only work to modify Broad Match.

With your Broad Match keywords, you can add [exact match], "phrase match" or broad match negatives depending on how much you want to limit your exposure.

I would always start a campaign with exact match as it impacts your quality score, then add phrase match and broad match for the keywords that are performing (or sometimes not performing because there's not enough traffic to test) and test the responses.

NEVER add broad match keywords without doing your homework and adding a ton of negative modifiers. That's truly the difference between a successful and poor performing PPC campaign on Bing or Adwords.
