Hi,

I am going to set up PPC for a client's company.

My company already has PPC working flawlessly on our own website with no landing pages or whatsoever. (Tho we still trying to understand how to track conversions with google analytics)

The problem is that with this new client we have to set up PPC on his Drupal page.

Well we are not really familiar with drupal, so what we wanted to do was to create a mirror website where we could redirect the ad link.

The thing is, I know that google doesn't like duplicate content. So what should I do?

(His old web marketer, used to do the exact same thing, thus I think that penalized a lot my client's website)

Until now we created landing pages, but this client doesn't want any...so what do you suggest me to do?

If he wants you to advertise his website, you should point the ads to his website. If that necessitates learning a little about Drupal in order to instrument the site for analytics, you should take some time to do that learning or turn away the client. What's best for his business should be both your priorities for it to be a healthy and profitable relationship. Like most businesses, there are some basic skills you should have before offering service to the public. For PPC management, that includes understanding conversion tracking.

Sorry, I actually forgot to write the whole thing about conversion tracking.

I know how to do conversion tracking, but my concern was how to do the conversion tracking using a different phone number that redirects to the client's main phone.

The old company made an exact same page, basically it copied the entire website, routed the ads on that mirror page, which also had a different phone number that was used to track the conversions from the AD

So, now if I am using the ads on their own host, without mirroring the website, how do I change the phone number, that will only be shown when clicking on the ad?

Put "call conversion tracking" into Google and sign up with one of those companies. They dynamically replace the phone number on page, with JavaScript, depending on the referral source of the visit.

HI, I wrote an article about installing call tracking here which you might find useful - www.toprankdigital.co.uk/call-tracking that should get you started and will allow you to track conversions on your customers website. If you are struggling go to elance or peopleperhour and somebody on there will install the call tracking code for you
