Guys,

My biggest hurdle is to create my own custom landing pages. Can I just use optimize press / leadpages? Or do I really need to know how to be creative and make my own HTML pages? Thanks.

HTML pages consumes lot of time and energy better go for leadpage or Instapage ,they have every plugin one needs plus you don't have to worry about hosting

I would go for leadpages. I am using leadpages and I find that creating landing pages with leadpages is a breeze.

With basic HTML, you can code your own. Leadpages gives out templates for free. Get them here

If you want more features though, leadpages pro is where its at.

How many landing pages do people normally go through to find the right one?
I have a habit of going over the top with things, but different headlines, copy if any, background pictures or background colours, button style, button text.... you get the idea.
I thought that I would make maybe 2 or 3 for testing, but I am now thinking like 10! Excessive? whats the norm?

I suggest using Getresponse, As they also have Landing pages templates like leadpages, and provide hosting too. Plus you get a 30 day free trial no credit card required, which you can also create emails for your autoresponder, and all the emails you collect will go into their database so they receive your automated emails

Why do you think you need to create your own customized ones? The best guys in the industry use optimizepress and leadpages so why shouldn't you? You just test a bunch of them and see which one performs best.

  • Just hire somebody to do this for you... This is no more than 30-50$

Here's how I create landing pages from scratch in HTML. I create a simple square white table with light grey background. Then I insert the title, subheading, and bulletpoint, (all written beforehand). Then I copy paste the autoresponder code in the HTML. All done between 10 to 20 minutes.

I'm not using hosting, or playing with cpanel and ftp, as my landing pages is host by the service provider. I just play with the HTML editor provided. I prefer to do it from scratch because even if its ugly, I want my page to be unique from the rest.

Most people tend to forget about the point of having a squeeze page, that is to provide value to prospect and make them sign-up.

It is easy, select nice theme or upload and select some plugin. Landing page is most important part of SEO and traffic driving.

I got leadpages , but not satisfied with it. Has anyone ever made a dating landing page off of leadpages?

Seems like a bunch of landing pages that's catered to "join my online marketing list and make $$$".

    I'm sure it's customizable too..but MEH.

Unbounce is OK, but I don't like the idea of monthly billing for landing pages, that I assume are not yours to keep if you ever cancel the service.

Instapage is another option for this type of service which can be ok. But similar to the above.

I'd suggest buying a premium landing page theme from Themeforrest and editing that. In most cases they are easier to update than Unbounce and you can easily replicate them. You can also get Envato studio to do all the setting up for you for a small fee if you're really scared of messing with hosting servers etc.

          Hi FraidNot,

Yes, Unbounce has a monthly fee for the the full testing service. You can use the free account to design one page at a time and then publish the code on your own website. While not the ideal way to use Unbounce, it gives you an option other than the monthly billing.

If you are getting too late to creating landing pages so my suggestion is to hire a professional and if you wanna learn and wants to do some experiences so try Unbounce software. This is best software regarding landing page creation thanks.

Hi GGpaul, Leadpages etc. are all fine and provide a valuable service. But there is a monthly sub. for receiving such service.

Optimize Press and Insta Builder are excellent solutions as well you can procure with a one time payment.

My suggestion is to look at them as viable options

      1) squeezematic.com ==>> Produced by Brett Rutecky. It is an excellent web-hosted solution that literally is drag and drop. It comes pre-installed with templates that you can use which are very user friendly. You can use the templates by simply clicking the text and change the words to what you desire. Or you can design your own from scratch. You can build any webpage for that matter in seconds. No kidding!

Once happy, just download and voila, it is yours to use.

      Look at this pic:

Once you download the file (it is an index.html file), you simply upload to your host via ftp or control panel and that is it. There are no image folder or anything like that. It is very quick to do because the images etc. are hosted by squeezematic. I personally like it because my squeezepages load very fast. I can build custom 'Thank You' or 'Download Here' pages in a minute or less. Seriously!

      2) wpprofitbuilder.com ==>> Yet another great solution in my view. Recently introduced to the market by Sean Donahoe this is a Worpress Plugin. Again it is a Plug & Play solution that comes with an amazing number of templates. To me, it is well worth the price.

Due to the fact that it was just introduced ( a little over a week ago), the response has been overwhelming. Consequently, pressure was placed on their servers and bugs are being 'ironed out' as I type. But I love it personally.

Some persons on WF have had past issues with Sean's Products but I personally have never experienced any major issues with the ones that I procured.

My suggestion, wait a week to two weeks and let the dust settle before you purchase.

I hope the above assist you in your direction. Cheers.

Is the owner/creator of wpprofitbuilder.com active on this forum? Reason I asked because I have read multiple threads about this product that contain questions, concerns or whatever - but I have not seen any interaction with the product creator. Makes me wonder if it's just another product that "sounds good" by may fall off quickly due to bugs and lack of support. Hmmm

I was just a bit disappointed that the customization for leadpages isn't that up to par. For instance, I can't add another video or change the size or change the position of something. I have to work with THAT specific template and can only change the text, the picture, the color.

Another thing I hate is that some templates you can't change the background. Only the color. Most of the time it's default white. I'm tired of that typical pre-made landing pages. Maybe I should just master HTML and CSS -__-.

Hey there, both Optimize press and lead pages are good, however with Leadpages, if you cancel your subscription at any point you loose all the squeeze pages you created.

You can easily create squeeze pages with wordpress. Check out signature for a free wordpress plugin.

If you need any further help, please message me and I can help you with this, however, the video that comes with the plugin is quite good, but do feel free to contact me if you need more help.
