Free traffic System users beware
Share on:
fb share twitter share gplus share more share

I just though I would give any pipsters who use the free traffic system a heads up, when using the system to add content to your own blog.

Some of you may know that i recently opened up one of my bloggs to allow FTS users to post to and generate some free content for me.

I received my first article on my blog today. The article content was very good, but when I checked the links at the foot of the article, they were to porn sites.....Not so good

I have deleted the offending links and notified FTS

If you are using the FTS in a similar way, make sure you check the links.

Graham, Not Good!!

Good job catching it though. I don't use FTS for my own blog, but for those who do, this is definitely something to watch for!

Thanks for the warning. Although I do not use FTS that way, I wonder if this could also happen to my articles on other peoples blog? The link in the end of the article is not from the article writer but a bonus link from another member. This means MY articles could end up with a permanent porn link at the end...not to good at all. Think I'll switch to Articlerank (there sites whould be of better quality anyways...)

Similar thing happened to my blog. Though the links on the articles were about Golf and dog training, something completely irrelevant to my website.

I've freezed my blogs in FTS but I continue to post articles regularly. I get about 2 to 3 trackback notifications a day which means that my articles are still republished on others blogs.

FTS is still a great way to get backlinks.

Hi Graham,

Thanks for the warning. Hopefully the FTS people will put something in place to check the links more carefully.

For anyone using any type of auto content system you should always review the posts being added to your blog as links pointing to "bad neighborhoods" can have a negative effect on your site.

Cheers,
Suzanne

Hi Graham

Thanks for letting us know about this. I have submitted my niche blog to FTS and have received 3 posts and so far all is fine but I will keep a close eye on it from now on.

Cheers for now

Thanks for this note, Suzanne. While I have been tempted by auto-content systems, I have refrained from using them for that very reason - I like personal control and don't like the thought of allowing something that may either be contrary to my own marketing beliefs, or outright offensive, as with the issue Graham has alerted FTS members to.

I think China has the right idea - just ban porn period. Porn and 'Sex' sites are the all time worst spam offenders too. Every single day I have a litany of offensive 'topics' in my spam folder.

I know, I know, we have to allow free speech and all, but it would be so nice to send them all to Syberia or better yet, Mars. Let all the degenerates degenerate together where we don't have to see or hear anything about these SICKOS.

Hi, Patricia:

What gets me about it is it is illegal almost everywhere to post that stuff, so why do governments allow ISPs to publish it?

In my opinion, the ISPs should be penalized for allowing customers to post it. If the ISPs start losing profit because of heavy fines, the Internet would clean up very quickly.

At this point my stats for FTS are as followed...

1561 articles published
188 affiliates recruited
33 2nd tier affiliates

I do allow content posted to my blog. A couple of times a day I go thru and delete the articles I do not like and bookmark the others. I am a pro member so I get 5 tag links and 3 in body links so it is really starting to pay off for me.

I think Graham's point is a good one. I have debated whether to pull my blog from FTS for fresh content, but at this point I like having 3-5 articles a day added I do not have to write myself.

Yikes!

Hopefully FTS will ban these users so that they don't gum up the works, so to speak. This is not good for the integrity of the system and quality of links being passed around.

Thanks for bringing this to our attention, Graham. I used to have content posted to my blog, but after getting so many poorly written articles, I paused my blog. It's hard to say whether I'll activate it again now or not.

I received a response from FTS and they are dealing with it thankfully.

Nice downline you have there Jeff, you should be getting a nice few backlinks from them alone and if you are a pro, your articles must be generating thousands of backlinks.

I have a lot of faith in FTS and it works.

I Joined FTS and let them update a couple of blogs i have and i think their fantastic but i agree in checking links. I put my mothers motel site/blog up there and some idiot wrote a decent article on las vegas and then had links to porn sites. needless to say they were deleted but in the main I find FTS very good.

I guess it is about 3 months now. There are people with a lot more backlinks, articles, affiliates etc. than me. it really isn't about how long I have been doing it, but how much I do on a consistent basis.

My stats of 1561 articles published are not 1561 different articles. As a free member you get your articles published in up to 30 different blogs for every article you submit.

As a pro member I get up to 40 published. So I would only need about 40 articles to reach 1561 if every blog I chose published what I sent. In reality I have written and submitted over 50 articles in 3 months which is not that many. I know of people doing 10 a day which really builds backlinks and traffic from this.

Re: Free traffic System users beware

I'm tired of using it. After months of using FTS I have not seen one back link from my articles. FTS says that google does not show all backlinks. Come on, even if it does not show all, it surely should show some. Besides, there are other ways to check for backlinks besides google.

I would like to see where anyone using FTS have backlinks from this system. You can't exepct back links in a few days, but I'm talking about months later where by now at least a few back links should be showing up.

Now when I think of doing an article, I lost all enthusiasm to submit them to FTS.

I would love to be proven wrong and someone swho me backlinks from using FTS.

Steve raises some good questions. I too have looked into FTS and although the price can't be beat (free), I certainly would not want to waste my time if the results were not measurable. I know, I know, I should test it out before deciding. But my time is very limited, so I'm asking if any warriors have got measurable results in terms of traffic, quality backlinks, etc. Any ideas you're willing to share to make FTS most effective?

Check out this thread:

http://www.warriorforum.com/plug-pro...y-page-1s.html

I have not used any other promotion for this website other than the free traffic system and a few backlinks from this forum.

In my opinion, you'd be mad to pass it up.......it works!

Thanks for the info Graham. No offense, but 4 to 5 word phrases, such as the one you indicated (Quick Start To Internet Marketing) can't be all that difficult to rank - especially when the long phrase is your actual URL address. (www.quick-start-to-internet-marketing.com). You are more experienced than I in online marketing and thus, I could be wrong, but that's just my take on it.

Still, I suppose FTS is worth a shot to generate some backlinks.

Anybody else want to share their experience using Free Traffic System?

Backlink Articles | work at home articles - Part 2

These are only one page one (20 of 201) of my backlinks for Bing. Whereas Google only shows 4 (!) backlinks to my site. I have 3 links using FTS in 20 out of 200, and my FTS stats show 105 article posts. It's not a perfect system, but few are. It's free, it get links to your site, so in my mind, it's worth the effort.

I will say that standard article sites, such as EzineArticles, IdeaMarketers, etc., show up more frequently in my backlink stats (90% of the first 20 Bing backlinks are from these sites), but the amount of time it takes to submit to FTS is far superior.

My method: Use FTS for blog posts, as you can use affiliate links in the FTS system if you choose. Use standard article sites for your feature articles, with keywords relevant to your site. Use both of these, and you will see results.

Hi Graham,

Thanks for the information, I haven't used FTS as yet but from what you have said and other comments in this post then what have I got to lose.

As long as I keep a watchful eye on the content then it is at least worth a trial run,

Mal.

Hi
Today I checked my Blogs posted by FTS. I noticed a tags of one article and %links% are not in english but in Malaysian language. The article itself was ok, about importance of article marketing. But when I check the tag and links I came to a Malaysian language site about enlargement of private thing. I spotted 2 similar post. But I failed to acknowledge FTS authority about it. Anybody know how to contact them?

I just added a log to thefreetrafficsystem website and have been for two days now trying to get an article added. My problem is not like the other complaints abt being declined but rather it will let me load everything but the urls into the boxes. after inputting urls they give me a red sreen that says be sure yiur urls loo like and gives example. I have pastd and typed th urs in but always the same. i emailed support and they replied to say they put my urls in and all was ok and even sent a screenshot with my urls in the boxes. Does anyone know what would cause my problem as i am putting them in correctly but must have some glitch. i have tried in both internet explorer and firefox still always the same.

This happens all the time in FTS. I don't even bother to grab articles form there anymore, I just submit my own. It's really not a big deal for me anyway.

I should build an e-commerce site that only sells waffles. And maybe pancakes.

That is a big call.... In would personaly not voice an opinion espically to label people that may watch porn sickos. everyday T.V has porn ( maybe soft porn but still sex scenes hence still porn) there is "R" and "x" rated porn "R" is basically T.V........

LABELING them "sickos" is defently crossing the line... personally I despise porn myself

Well you are entitled to your opinion just as I am entitled to mine.

... and just because 'every day TV' is also gross it is no justification.

I don't see any 'line' where the truth is concerned. Maybe my truth is different from yours.

There's an affordable ghost writing service being offered by Dustin Canon at justarticles.com and it's highly recommended by Stone, why don't you just try them for you to have good content on your sites? I hired them once and I am very satisfied with the article they have delivered to me. If you have the extra money, I think letting them do the work for you is better than messing your site with those shadowy auto-content services (like those of FTS). What do you think?

Thanks for the heads-up Graham.

I have been making use of Dustin's article services for the majority of my articles but am working towards adding my own content and content of value from other sites in the next month or two.

I have just started researching to find out where the best places are to find quality articles by other bloggers and I was not aware of FTS and the possible pitfalls associated with using services such as this (I always thought it is only comments on one's blog that need to be checked so thoroughly! haha).

I will definately bear this in mind and be vigilant when checking posts and links to my site in the near future.

After all, one needs to put some nurturing personal and hands-on care and work into your business to ensure that it is run optimally, including monitoring which sites your online business is associated with. Fortunately a little hard work and consistency never killed anyone so I am certain manual checking to ensure quality is a small price to pay to ensure the integrity of one's business.

I use Dustin's service to update my blog, and they do a great job the articles are wonderful. I also get a lot of compliments from the ton of spammers that visit each day. I have also put some articles that I wrote myself on my site, but Dustin's service works great; they update every day and give me the time to do other things.

Yesh china is right about it but if you want to create an huge amount of money month u need some of em , maybe with an offshore server to (not .us server either) and once your site is full of traffic you just use it as redirection

i know is not nice but worth the risk because from those site you can have a nice ratio of Traffic (if is build right ) around 50k to 100k daily unique visitor if you convert em to marketing there we go
